Thread created in this section for DW. We have to face it that he will not be ready for a good few weeks & even then will only continue to be as sub. He will be rusty & we are probably not going to get or see anything decent out of him until November at the earliest, injury permitting.
Out for "months" according to Flores. Absolute waste of wages. Completely pointless signing, as I said at the time.
Bit odd as after the match they said it was his ankle, but Flores reckons it's his hamstring. Maybe our medical team struggle to know which is which.
It's ******* hilarious that the first time we finally try the much championed "pay as you play" punt deal some have been espousing for years, it goes south.
Stunning that we didn't think of using a "Pay-as-you-play deal". This was the perfect opportunity given his injury history.
Would rather he have some minutes at Villa than be kicked up and down the quagmire that is Tranmere. Give him 45 after Deeney has scored his brace.
On the bench and bring him on so we can play 2 up top in the final 15 mins as we try to recover the 2 goal deficit.
As long as he is good and ready maybe we should maybe give him 20 or 30 mins, but as we can't afford for him to get injured again perhaps we should hold back a little bit longer before bringing him back. Because as wfc4ever said it is very cold and cold night game is probably not a good time to bring someone back after a muscle injury.
