Norwich seem doomed. Will we join them ? On the basis of current form we will unless Villa conspire to lose all their games. This is the most important game for years. It defines the future. Firstly. NO DEENEY and NO CRAPOUE in the starting line up Pearson. Deeney is unfit and Crapoue seems half baked. For the love of God play a formation with positivity and pace. The difference when the fat useless loudmouth is off the pitch is chalk and cheese. We just play aimless hoofball when he is on. He moves slower than a glacier and cannot press. No more Crapoue. Lazy and disinterested and is contributing nothing in midfield apart from negativity and sulkiness. Make Hughes captain. That position needs to be earned. Hughes by his performances deserves it. In a terrible team he is a beacon. Super again with commitment, tackles, intercepts and passing and even getting into the box late on unfortunately not being able to score. What's that I hear you cry Troy ? It's called being a professional and maintaining your fitness. Not having the arrogance to think you can waltz into the team because of past exploits as Mr.Watford. A brave manager should strip him of the captaincy. He has set a poor example. God would do it. And as for Filippo the fat fraud and Eric Roy just feck off from the club. Useless turds. So many basic issues in recruitment and on the pitch like reids has mentioned not addressed. And Gino and Duxbury. Let the manager do what they know best. Manage. Stop sticking your oars in. Good leaders know when to adapt and change their models to fit changing circumstances. The arrogance of these two needs a massive dose of reality. Twits.
Agree. So much better once Troy went off. But I think the subs Pearson made was trying to keep it at 2 which failed. Think he took Troy off to save him for Tuesday I’m afraid. With Pearson there’s never a plan b it will be the same **** that’s been put on since the restart and Norwich will beat us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DW has to start. I cannot believe anyone would have Deeney instead. We began to move the ball around in the last twenty minutes, apart from when Pereyra passed three times to Chelsea. Danny not Deeney.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
---------------------------------------Foster--------------------------------------- Masina-------------Dawson----------------------Kabasele------Femenia----- ------------------Hughes(c)-----------------Doucoure------------------------- ----Sarr-------------------------------------------------------Pussetto--------- -------------------Welbeck-----------------Pedro------------------------------ Do it you numskull Pearson. Anything but more of the same tired plodding dross of aimless hoofball to the donkey upfront.
I would go for something like: Foster Kiko, Kabasele, Dawson, Masina Doucouré, Hughes Sarr, Cleverley, Pedro Welbeck My only question mark would be who to play behind Welbeck, as Pereyra may offer more centrally. The bottom line though - for the love of God, please no Deeney.
I would be wary of Pereyra. He also looks on holiday. The body is there but not the mind. When committed he's a terrific player and he can scrap as I've seen when with Argentina. But his heart is not here. Lose the ball centrally would he fight to retrieve it. He looks incredibly sloppy for a player of his ability. Needs a massive smack in the face the petulant sulk.
It's a do or die game in our season. Forget tonight's game already. All it proved is Deeney is about as useful as the Titanic is right now in the ocean. He's a symbol of our club's past, not our future. We need to move forward and give these next three games a real go. I'm confident Pearson is intelligent enough to see how much better we looked without Deeney. .1-0 It begins now.
Foster; Femenia, Kabasele, Dawson, Masina; Doucoure, Hughes, Cleverley; Pedro, Sarr & Welbeck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The importance of this game cannot be overstated. Drop Capoue, drop Deeney, play Pedro/Pussetto on the left and let’s have some ******* urgency! No excuses and no more chances.
Has to be. I’m in positive spirits after that last 15/20 minutes and if Pearson can’t see we play better as a team without Deeney then I’m really lost. Norwich have nothing to lose they’ll be relaxed and sometimes relegated teams actually start winning when it doesn’t matter. Although, of course they’re not mathematically relegated yet. Deeney will likely start. Welbeck is like Gray. Will do naff all as a lone striker. I'd play Welbeck and Gray with Sarr. Get some attacks going. It can't be worse than just Deeney up front on his own as that not working since the restart.
I would not level that at Doucoure,he's just not always very good with the ball. He reminds me of Carlton Palmer, all arms and legs. A great athlete but not technically gifted. Capoue is just not playing well. It happens, can't help playing with four or five people who are highly unlikely to influence the game in a positive manner.
Not arsed isn't the right word for Capoue, he's just making sloppy decisions. He's always been a confidence player but nobody else inspires it. I've been saying Deeney is **** since about 2015 so I'm delighted everyone is finally on board, a bit late mind. Would play the front 3 everyone is suggesting, Doucoure at attacking midfield and Hughes and one other holding. Honestly can't see anything other than 0-0. Or go 442, Welbeck and Gray up top and Doucoure and Hughes middle. To add I think we will stay up purely because Villa and Bournemouth won't get another point.
Fair point. He just got easily frustrated I guess and gave that silly penalty away. Doucoure needs that pace and power back which is his game. Welbeck did do well when he came on bit too late.
This is a match that's more our level. Two decent Championship sides go head to head. Next season this could mean so much more, in a top of the table promotion clash. I think we'll win this, but it will be a nervy, scrappy, nervy one goal win. It will give everyone some futile hopes until Saint-Maximin tears us a new one in the following game.
Absolutely massive game. Nothing more than I win will do. I would go 4-4-1-1. Surprise Norwich. Foster Kiko Kabs Dawson Masina Doucs Highes Cleverly Nate Sarr Welbeck Two good solid banks of four and hope Sarr and Welbeck can stretch them down the channels.
If we could just play sarr a little further forward than deep right back the it would be a start on tonight.
I seen the Norwich game earlier and they were very poor, if we are going to be beat anyone it is certainly them. The one thing that I was looking for in The Brighton game was how they looked down the left and I have to say I think Sarr could have a good day if they give him the space they gave Brighton down that side today, every time I have watched Jamal Lewis play he has looked a bit vulnerable because he gets caught out of position a lot. However Max Aarons on the other side always impresses me with his speed and energy, I would love to sign him if we somehow manage to stay up this season.
Literally has to be Foster Femenia Cathcart Kabasele Masina Hughes Chalobah Sarr Doucoure Pedro Welbeck There is no other starting 11 that is acceptable!!
That’s the team I’d pick too. But we all know Troy will be up top. Welbeck will come on in 2nd half and Pedro won’t make the bench. I hope that is the back four, also I bet capoue starts too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
