Southampton streaking away. A bit of a fillip after being hammered 9-0 by Leicester in the reverse fixture.Ings is what we need. A striker consistently capable of scoring chances. Funy how reverting to 4-4-2 has helped Hassenhutl too. Burnley getting dragged into it. They are on a dreadful run. Norwich are as good as gone. Three points is vital tomorrow and we will truly be back in the scrap for survival given that the gap to tenth is not that significant.

They owe us more than anything. Dead and buried with 15 minutes to go against us, not looked back since.

Indeed UEA. Had we managed to win that game Hassenhutl would likely have been shoved out of the door and Flores may have had a stay of execution.

Fair play to Saints, they've put a seriously good run together and theirs not a chance that they'll go down now. Ings is a proper goalscorer.

Norwich are doomed. Newcastle have a serious injury list & could well get dragged into it, even though they got a good result today. Burnley are the team on the slide, that loss at home to Villa was horrific for them. I'm not convinced that they'll recover.

3 things are guaranteed in life and 1 of them is Ings getting injured.

Villa down by a goal already. Mahrez with a tidy finish.

Drinkwater looking terrible. Perhaps just as well we did not put in for him....... This could be a cricket score.

A goal every ten minutes. 0-9 on the cards. Some Villa fans already leaving......

I hope they are this sh!te when we play them at their place. Sarr and Delafoo will have a field day. Looks like their lucky win vs Norwich was a
    flash in the pan result.

    Damage limitation for Villa now.

    EDIT: 4

Next week we can put pressure on everyone else with a result first up.

And close to Burnley which is hard to believe really given their defensive reputation.

5-0 at the moment inside an hour. Villa fans singing the Allez Allez song loudly - equivalent of waving yellow and red flags furiously.

Looking like a very good day for us so far, 3-0 win and Villa are 5 down as I type this with approx half an hour to play against Man City that's already an 8 goal gain on our GD against Villa :D

Come on City keep knocking them in, we want double figures please ;)

Surprisingly, Villa couldn’t manage another 5 goals in the remaining 7 seconds. But mighty close nonetheless.

I think Norwich are a better team than Bournemouth or villa. Going forward they are cohesive and with the wheels falling off other clubs I think they may close the gap a bit

    Reckon they wont finish bottom

I notice Grealish played with his socks down to,his ankles, isn’t that just asking for an injury!

Claridge was a right scruff bucket but he was a very effective footballer. I had a lot of time for him.

He scored one of Leicester’s greatest goals with his bare shin. I’d like to see Prince Grealish of Diveland do that in a playoff final.

By the way, if you’ve got money on us to finish top 4 this season I’d seriously consider cashing out before too long. Our integrity levels have dipped below the requisite 110%. Intensity is down at around 60% and the readings for group honesty are at a 12 month low.

We will rattle baby Grealish again in a couple weeks. He should have been sent off against us, can seem him doing the same thing again, and will get his marching orders.
