I would say above average based on what most owners achieve.

are we in a better or worse position than when they took over?

In terms of finance and where we all would love the club to be, better. Had the Pozzo's never bought the club after the Dyche season where we did amazingly well to finish near the top
with such a limited squad, I honestly think we would of been relegated to League One in the next few seasons. When Zola came in for his initial season, we looked like a club transformed.
Attacking football, good balance in the team, scoring some great goals and so, so close to automatic promotion too.

Looking back, they have done a great job in getting us where we are today. If they are wanting to keep the Premiership riches coming in, they have to spend in January on where it's needed.
unfortunately, by then in may be to little to late.

I think that Flores may have been sacked!!

I've just driven by the training ground and there is a mass exodus of players leaving in their cars. This was at about 1pm. They were all called in this morning, so something big is happening I suspect.

I might be completely wrong about Flores going, that's just a guess, but having all the players in on a Sunday is unusual. Could have been some sort of crisis meeting, but something out of the ordinary is happening for sure.

I'm actually at the training ground disguised as a central defender. No one has noticed me.

I presume you're in the treatment room, then, if you're not arousing any suspicion.

In, out or shake it all about. I don't care but if they are serious about running WFC as a football club and not just as a stop on the transfer network then they need to step it up. and focus on the needs of our squad. The club has coasted since promotion and this season they have been caught out.

Genuinely do feel this is our worst season ever. It's the first time where it's completely all our own fault that we are in the pit that we've dug for ourselves. No plucky underdogs just having given it their best and found wanting, but a bunch of arrogant, stubborn owners who have no interest in doing things for the good of the club, unless it aligns with their wheeling and dealing ambitions.

**** the Pozzos. I would rather see an honest, **** side struggle in the Championship than this squad of millionaires shirking and cowering in the glare of World Media with our club's shirt being tainted for a generation.

Fair enough. In my opinion I’ve see worse.

So I assume you’d be happy with us in league 2 playing good “honest” (whatever that means) football with battling footballers?

Happy? Not exactly, but preferable to being the plaything of a **** who has no interest in the on field success outside of his own wheeling and dealing.

You know what is an absolute joke...

Where’s all the fans forums now Mr Duxberry? It’s all very well hosting them taking all the glory when we were doing half decent in the 1st Flores campaign and the start of last season. Taking all the credit. Dishing around soundbites about competing in Europe in the next few years.

Now we have more questions to ask him that ever and he’s hiding behind the team. What about that radio interview you broadcast to the nation about playing in the champions league? You’re a complete tool mate and have shown all of us up.

I don't know how old you are, but I cant remember 1 win in 15 games, ever. Even under Aidy and GT with essentially league 1 players in this league.

That and the fact that we've got international footballers and people who've come with reputations from top European sides, yet we are absolutely the whipping boys of the league makes me quite sick of this season and the complete lack of character in our club as a result of the policies of our arrogant and pigheaded owner.

    £161 million

    £81m in outstanding transfer fees
£55m to a secured 3rd party debt fund
    £25m to a Pozzo entity

As at June 18. Since then we have sold Richarlison and Lukbakio and bought Sarr and Dawson - plus last season purchases like Deulofeu , masina foster and Sema plus cup run income

Accounts to June 19 due in Q1 next year - they may only show the Richarlison sale and those 4 last season purchases and cup run income as others may be post the June 19 year end

Let’s hope the value of our players is over £125m at least

Watford fans who want the Pozzos out need to wake up. They are by far the best owners we have ever had. Fair enough if someone else comes along better - absolutely great - but there is a much greater chance of a complete chancer ,with no money and leaves us in a much worse position.

You can point the finger at Duxbury all you want but he has a boss. The same boss who continues to employ an absolute failure in Giraldi.

All those laughable quotes about qualifying for Europe were all countersigned by Gino. If you think anything happens at the club that isn't his final decision, you are sorely wrong.

Well no - because a complete chancer won’t have the huge amount of money it would take to buy the club.

The story that broke in the FT about US investors nearly buying a percentage of the club placed the value of the club over £300m. A ‘complete chancer’ doesn’t have that money.

The Pozzo’s undoubtedly have done wonders with the club from where we were. But only the most oblivious of supporters will fail to see that huge errors in judgment have been made and it’s totally fair to call them out on it. They aren’t immune from criticism and I think it’s right that the fans want some answers about it all.

What I think is silly is people saying Gino should ‘go now’ - that isn’t how ownership works. You can’t just fall on your sword as an owner. He can own it and relinquish control, sure - but hasn’t he done that largely anyway with Duxbury and Giraldi?

Even if Gino does eventually decide to go, the club could take years to sell. It’s not going to suddenly be a case of ‘here today, gone tomorrow’.

Gino can be criticised for our current plight. And he’s far too trusting of those he trusts to make key footballing decisions it seems. That’s the problem he needs to address. I genuinely think we’d see an upturn if Giraldi was relived of his duties for a start.

If there is a whole load of debt that is tagged with the club when we go down, I would question how much the club would actually be worth. Fair enough if we survive then it’s a very different proposition. But as a Championship club we are going to struggle to balance the books. I doubt there will be an avalanche of potential owners coming forward anytime soon. We have had years of success with the Pozzos, and one bad year. If others want to throw them up the bus then fine, but I a prepared to stay loyal as I think they are our best chance of getting back up
