Eh? Richard Hill made 4 appearances for us while Ricky Hill made 3 for England - and several hundred for L*t*n. Neither of them were wingers.
Kevin Richardson was some player, Bardsley I loved for tearing Kenny Sansom a new one. Didn't he also get rid of Falco to Rangers? Tore the soul out the club.
Has said he’s very happy he stayed at Spurs - but has said at some stage, he will have his say on what happened this summer as some things aren’t accurate. Will be interesting to see if we get a mention as and when he speaks out. I suspect he will defend Pochettino and say Levy was looking to cash in.
I expect he will say he didn’t really want to go to Watford at all because he’d already played for us and scored a spectacular goal, albeit in the wrong net.
Glad we did not sign this diver. I had not taken much notice of him before but, he was constantly throwing himself to the ground yesterday trying to get free kicks, twice in the penalty area. I hope we never sign this cheat.
Yes some of our players go down far too easily, and I do not like it. Rose seemed to be an extreme example by going down dramatically virtually every time he was in a challenge for the ball.
Indeed. It's def not a one off either, in fact I made this comment after his England appearance vs Czech Republic a couple of weeks ago: "Agree. he reminds me of Holebas a couple of seasons ago, though without the set pieces - spends more time on the floor, or moaning at other players, than he does actually defending. He's also passed his best and starting to lose his pace." http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/england.56372/#post-2791603
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/13/danny-rose-tottenham-not-going-anywhere-contract He says in here "I know what people were trying to do in the summer. There were no bids – that was rubbish.” He was at our training ground by all accounts. So either he's wrong when he says there were no bids or he did an Odemwingie and rocked up in the hope that we might bid...
I have to agree. Had we signed him in the summer, I would have thought that would have been an ambitious signing, but since then he's proved he's not playing well and he does seem a little up himself. I think we got lucky here and dodged a bullet, so-to-speak.
Possibly, but it could be that he doesn't feel appreciated at Spurs and relished a new challenge, even for a pay cut, which is what he would have had here. Spurs ruined the chance of him moving on by asking for too much and could feel hard done by as a result.
I was just talking to a West Ham season ticket holder at work who is convinced they are going down. Rose could be the final piece of the jigsaw to clinch relegation for them.
It's incredible to think they effortlessly snotted us at our place. Gracia should have been taken round the back and shot after that result.
Started out as a winger for us, and I enjoyed watching him bound down the wing. Patron saint of lost causes I thought.
Yep, but when he started out with us, it was, I am sure, playing down the wing. Don't know where he played for anyone else. He was a really good bloke and I wanted him to do well. Looked like a tramp though, off the field.
