    Great news. It looks like he's definitely definitely probably maybe joining. Which I always said he would even before he was born. There is the slight chance he might not though which I've also predicted.

    The family are lovely people. I've met them. They held a door for me and everything. So don't take the pi55 otherwise I'll tell them and he won't join.

    Seems like a PR move from the club. They will undoubtedly have heard about the rumours of a break clause, Liverpool’s interest etc and decided to double-down on our “back off - he’s ours” stance.

    Apparently Barcelona have made an approach just to see where the land lies. Similar to Liverpool's approach. As I mentioned, I can see nothing on the internet about this yet, but no doubt someone will post something soon if there's any truth to it.

    I know I shouldn't really post things like this on here, as it gets destroyed every time, but I'm only trying to give those who are interested some information, be it good or bad.

    If there's no link, I know how it goes on here, but I think it's reliable info, nonetheless.

    I genuinely wasn’t trying to bait you by asking. I was just curious to know where the info was from as when the clause/Liverpool story broke, I had mentioned it was Barcelona/Madrid coming in that worried me...

    It genuinely must be p1ss-easy being a scout at a big club.

    Suggest world class players as you know you can afford them. Which makes the smaller clubs invest in scouting to unearth these players earlier than the big club you work for - you can ignore most of them. But when a smaller club unearths a decent one, just muscle in on the deal.

    Easiest job in the world.
