Okay, not reported but Man City sign a new keeper on the same day the WO claim Silva's priority is a new No.1...coincidence?

    YES.

But, if somehow we could make the wages work, he ticks every box we are looking for.

This would be a suggestion. Bigger and better sides than us will be looking at him

Personally think he makes far more clangers than Gomes.

Was going to say, even the Torino owner said he was surprised by how many mistakes he made for them.

Agreed. I saw both his games against Napoli last season where he let in 5 a piece. 4 against Roma. God knows what he'd be like behind our defence.

He's ****. Of course he'll still start for England over Heaton and Butland who are both better imo.

Can understand Butland not starting as he's not long back from a big injury, but certainly Heaton has been consistently better than Hart this season. Hart is picked on past merit - he's an anomaly of a goalkeeper that seems to have gotten worse with age instead of improving.

Done well with his Italian learning though.

Could have used him last season as Nutty Walt's translator, but that ship has sailed!

I'm lead to believe that Udinese have a plethora of goalkeepers. If any new Gk's are to join, surely it'll be one if these on loan/internal transfer.

No way will we sign Hart.
    One word: Wages

    After today's abysmal positioning,
    another 2 words: Free Kicks.

Good free kicks but Hart didn't exactly cover himself in glory with poor positioning & movement on his line. I reckon a better keeper might well have save them both

I really hope not. He has wasted his career away. Personally think he will only continue to get worse.

Out of all the keepers we have been linked with this summer, he is by far the worst.

Just realised this was in The Sun, my panic is over.

Not sure how he has wasted his career away from going from playing 30+ games for 9 years in a row, 2 premier league titles, an FA Cup, League Cup and 70+ international games, because he decided that rather than sit on the bench for a season, he took the opportunity to get off his arse and play games.

He might not be the best keeper in the world, or even in England, but he is better than we have

his attitude to go and play at Torino instead of warming the bench at City should be applauded. many a player would have stayed. I think like Gomes when he joined Hart needs to be loved. with a bit of TLC he could be a decent signing.

What do Rafa Benitez and Jose Mourinho possibly know about football and players ?

They need to register on here and get themselves educated with some expert opinions.

But the Coach, who would know more about footballing matters, still picked him.

I'm sure if the coach had come out and made comments about how the club should be run from a business and financial side it would quickly be poo poo'd.

As I say his not the best keep in the world, maybe not the best in England, but definitely better than we have.

I agree with your final comment WAS but re: Torino I'm pretty sure not picking him wasn't an option given how much he was costing them. And ultimately he did make a fair few mistakes.

Positioning was correct. The goals both went in the part of the goal covered by the wall. You could say he wasn't quick enough to get over to that side of the goal as they weren't completely in the corner or you could say they were good free kicks.
He was a very good keeper and probably still is but has gone off the boil maybe down to confidence but you don't have a career like he has without being very good.
If wages were sensible I would jump at the chance of him coming here

Would be happy with this. I know he's made mistakes in Italy, but Almunia and Gomes were both renouned for making mistakes when we signed them and they've been the best Watford keepers I've watched (bar Ben Foster but he was technically united).

Hart has a great attitude and is a natural leader on the pitch. He's also got the experience of winning things unlike everyone else in our team. He'll most likely end up at a team in a better financial position than us, but I'd be happy to see him come here. I'm also loving these HG links atm which is another reason I'd like the signing.

I'd be more than happy with Hart joining us. My guess is he will be out to prove everybody wrong and have a phenomenal few years somewhere. All keepers make mistakes, normally big ones which comes with the territory. I can never see this happening as I think a bigger club will snap him up

He's going to be on hundreds of pounds a week. No chance that meano Gino will stump up for him.

Get happy with Bachman being out no. 2.

    You ain't seen nothing yet.
