The Guardian and a couple of other media outlets claiming we are going to plot a double raid on Liverpool for this pair http://www.theguardian.com/football...-joe-allen-jordon-ibe-watford-summer-transfer.
Another non-scoring midfielder though. Replacement for Capoue perhaps if he leaves. Ibe would be a brilliant signing, but I imagine would easily break our transfer fee record. Klopp may look stupid, but he isn't going to let one of his best prospects leave. Perhaps season long loan?
This makes sense. Allen and Ibe to Watford for Zielinski sounds like a great trade to me :naughty: Ibe was behind John Swift of Chelsea in the U21s yesterday and was sent off after having little end product. He's a talent, but so far away from the Pool team that it makes sense for them to sell him before he is worth very little.
Allen is an empty shirt Tidy player in possession but brings very little to the table at either end of the pitch, just a better version of McEachran Ibe.... All pace, little end product, but would be happy to gamble on him if the price is right
Exactly. Imagine him and Jurado in the same team, we could keep the ball almost endlessly! We'd probably be right up near the top of the table in possession stats.

Allen also linked with Swansea. If it was between us and them I can only imagine he'd go back there, he supposedly supports them. Liverpool paid £15mil for him when he was 22, I can't imagine he'd go for too much less than that now he's 26. Would we pay that for someone who's hardly proven themselves to be a brilliant attacking or defensive midfielder? I doubt it, personally, especially given that we already have Capoue, Behrami, Watson, Suarez who all play in a similar way to Allen. Wales Online reckon he's likely to return to Swansea, particularly if Rodgers goes back there. They do say, however, that he could be tempted by a move to Watford because he'd want to link up with 'his fellow countryman Ikechi Anya'... http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-fc-swansea-city-watford-11113935#rlabs=2%20rt$sitewide%20p$5
We don't have any Welsh players yet. If I remember rightly, we tried to sign Andy King in the summer 2014 window. Idiot decided to stay at tinpot Leicester. Bloody mug.
Everyone saying Ibe has little end product now I've not seen much of him but I remember him scoring a cracking goal against us and generally being a royal pain in the arse for our defence.
Yes, in the Championship. But he's hardly set the Premier League on fire which is the overriding factor for whether a player is good enough for us.
In these days of huge 25 player squads coaches/managers, under such extreme pressure for quick results, just don't get the chance to experiment as much as they did. I think there are many players that just don't get a fair chance to show what they can do in the first team. I reckon (a complete guess) that there are about 6 fringe players in most of the top-half teams that could do a really good job for us. It is just a matter of picking those that will fit in with the tactics/philosophy of our under pressure coach.
But he is only just 20 and has already played 72 games including 34 in a Liverpool shirt. He has played for England at every level up to under 21. We have or are going to sign Jerome Sinclair who is about the same age and has only played for Liverpool twice. Ibe is already better than half the players in our squad.
I'd say better than all our players - especially if he's played for England! **** the hypocrisy regarding players on this forum, sign him up!!
Under Rodgers, Ibe started to flourish. I think he played at RWB for the majority when they played three at the back. If his deal is up in the summer, then get a contract offer in and save the transfer fee. If its not up, I wouldn't go higher than 3 or 4 million.
I can't see us getting him for that, especially after renewing his contract. Ibe and Allen will be used in a deal, seeing Zielinski move to Liverpool. I'm sure I've already read that Zielinskis move is more than just a rumour.
That goal he scored against us at the Vic was ultra memorable. I felt like clapping it was that good. I know that's no basis for taking an interest someone, but the fact Derby sunk like a stone after he got recalled is probably no coincidence. He's looked extremely lively for 'Pool every time I've seen him play. Good prospect. It's a yes from me.
