Absolutely agree, in fact if you look at his use of the ball as well as his outstanding defending there haven't been many better
Which opponent would u like to see it on? Hopefully we reach 40 points v Man Utd so anybody after that..Vardy maybe?!
.....while he's sitting on the bench looking miserable ! Superb player. How can Coates get in the Uruguay team ahead of him ?
He has been a very good acquisition , I like the fact that we have 3 decent + centre halves and Britos is a little different to Cathcart and Prodl. You feel he will not hesitate to do the really nasty stuff if he has to ,as per his trailers for the job as seen above
I can only see Britos taking a sniff at the other guys aftershave. I need a shot from the side to prove contact please.
Britos/Cathcart/Prodl. Have we ever had 3 top class CB's together at the club at the same time? We had Bolton/Simms & later Simms/McClelland but I don't think we had all 3 concurrently. I would be great if one of the current 3 could play at RB, seems like a crime to leave one on the bench.
Not sure how correct those data are but, according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/seba...erein/0/liga/0/wettbewerb//trainer_id/0/pos/5 , Prodl has played 10 matches between Bundesliga and CL as a RB.
Cathcart played RB for us a few times last season, and many times for Blackpool . Wasted there though imo
I do like Cathcart defensively but he is truly awful on the ball and his distribution is shocking. Cost us the game v Tottenham and when he gets it to his feet any move is as good as over. I know it isnt the British centre back way to be a ball player as well but it would be nice to add this side to his game. A rabbit in headlights with the ball at his feet. Or a kid in a sweetshop... I cant work it out... And neither can he!
I think that's a bit of an overreaction. He's no Pique but I think his distribution has been fine both this season and last season.
Born 26 April 1946 in Hetton-le-Hole so would've been 70. Sadly died 17 December 2010 though (in another Hole - Lootown!).
Oh dear, poor Ralph. He used to be a member of Broxbourne LTC.Like many ex Spuds,he lived in the area.He was a lovely guy and I have a picture of him with the club members at Wimbledon when the ladies team won the Puma Cup. Incidentally, does anyone remember Sims taking out Joe Mayo in the Orient penalty area? Not sure what he did, just remember Mayo out on the turf and Steve running back into our half looking over his shoulder at the prostrate Mayo!
I think hes pretty decent in possession. His long passing , which is integral to our tactics under QSF, has been pretty decent. Hes lost his marker a few times on crosses, but apart from that its hard to find fault.
Britos has really impressed me this season. I thought he was a good player but was unsure whether he would transition to the Prem. Glad to have Britos, Prodl and Cathcart at the back this season meaning we haven't been to hampered by any minor knocks that come about.
