Now saying we ve matched the 7 mill valuation put on Gradel by his club. Bourenmouths offer is only 6 mill. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...chase-former-Leeds-midfielder-Max-Gradel.html
If this is true, this means that either Bournemouth have been blown out of the water by us, or they have decided that Michail Antonio is the better player. I would certainly be happy with either of them, especially now that Perotti ain't coming here. Gradel is definitely good enough for the Prem and he will fill a hole that needs filling in our squad. Come on Gino, get this done please!
I think he's the sort of player we need as he would perhaps suit one of the advanced wide roles in Quique's 4231 more than anyone we currently have in the squad
With all of these high transfer fees that are being mentioned, is it safe to say that the traditional Pozzo Model has been thrown out the window?
Don't think the model has been thrown out of the window. I just think we are making sure we stay in the biggest window of all.
I had some Muff fans at work on Friday excitedly telling me how they were gonna sign Gradel.... i know its petty, but (Keggan accent).. "I would love it" if we picked him up instead.
Sounds like a silent movie era Hollywood director. For that reason, I'm out. We should be looking at talkies and technicolor.
http://www.udineseblog.it/articolo/La_corrida_di_Granada/El_Arabi_piace_al_Saint_Etienne/41/189894 The striker Youssef El Arabi did not show up yesterday at the resumption of activities with the team. You have not seen neither a medical nor training. This has obviously put wood on the fire of those who argue that it is about to change teams. The player has the market and, according to reports from 'mobile.le10sport.com', the Saint-Etienne's Christophe Galtier would be interested in the striker of Granada CF. The French club would be ready to make an offer of 4 or 5 million to Granada to make sure the player. With that money the Granada could find a replacement to it. For now, the club has purchased the white and red for the first team Edgar Méndez, Aridane Hernández and Masavu-King. Would help smooth out the deal for Gradel.
Beating the new darlings of the Premier League to a key signing using our sister club's player would be a perfect storm for the media. I'd love it.
When you see Granada are possibly intrinsic to the Gradel deal, it makes you think we have more than a decent chance of signing him
I'm not sure about Max Gradel or Douglas Fairbanks Jr. but I think Charlie Barr playing the Chalobah role may work out. They're very similar if not exactly the same. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Barr
I think we should really go for Gradel. Not only a top winger but counts as home grown leaving us with still 3 non-home grown places imo, with a CDM (maybe Taider?) a CB (Britos?) and a striker (Doumbia?)
@maxigr04del: Thank you very much for everything forever burn thanks again. Just said goodbye to St Etienne on Twitter if seems. Where will he end up?...
Disappointed if Gradel goes to Dorset. We've had a fairly decent window but seem to have missed out on nearly all the really top targets we've allegedly gone for. Bournemouth are giving themselves a fairly decent chance of staying up too.
