Have always been a fan of him, thought he was unreal at Leeds and apparently wants a prem move. Could be the winger were looking for and can also play upfront. Scored 15 in 26 according to wiki.

St-Etienne want El-Arabi from Granada; we want Gradel from Saint Etienne. Same as with the Allan/Inler/Britos potential deal, this is where the trinité might start to have significant advantages.
Want this to happen if only to see your RT's of B'muff fans from a few weeks back when they were sure they'd sign him
Well just noticed he has 41 caps for the Ivory Coast. Considering there attacking options they've had he can't be so bad. Looks pacy, The plus thing is he knows the English game so settling wouldn't be a problem.
Seems fair to me. We get a great player and Granada kindly pay for him by giving SE their star striker ? Can't see that anyone loses there. We don't have any "friendlies" planned with Granada in the next 2 years do we given this plus Nyom ?
I didn't mean literally given, I meant as part consideration for which I'm sure they'll be recompensed by the Pozzo network but not sure they'll have much of a team left. We should seriously shift some of our fringe players out there, its a great place, I was in the city the day they won promotion to the 2nd tier 4 or 5 years ago.
I'm assuming that you believe Watford would compensate Granada for his leaving, so as to allow us to use him as a make weight in this deal. Sending them Fabs to soften the blow could also help.
I can't believe how obtuse some people are being. Of course Granada would not give up El-Arabi for nothing. Either Saint-Etienne would pay for him or we would pay them the agreed value. What it does do is 'grease the wheels' - by keeping a complex deal in a 'closed circuit' it makes the likelihood of it happening much greater.
Don't think anyone is saying they will give him up for nothing but they still might not be happy to lose him, esp if its seen as a mechanism to get us a player we want.
Crucially says he'd rather come here, so it's down to agreeing a fee for El-Arabi. I said when he was supposed to be going to Bournemouth that he'd be an excellent signing for them, so it's a yes from me.
Last week when it seemed he might join Bmouth...'Perotti is better, Gradel is a gamble' etc etc. This week, now it seems we've made a bid..'oh I'd prefer Gradel..knows English football, less of a gamble etc' How fickle we all are eh lol . I'd welcome this one though. He's decent. And gets a lot of goals from out wide. Goals will keep us up.
