Great shame if true. That being said (and with a lot of wishful thinking!) it's got to be close to 2 years to the day since he originally joined on loan, so are we jumping to conclusions here?
Bye Batty, if you are going? Thanks for the last two years and good luck for the future :sign15::sign15::sign15:
sounds like a cough mixture Needs game time the stage of his career, disappointing but wasn't likely to feature much this season with more experience in the midfield and the british quota in place
On their official site ''Meanwhile, this morning in retreat also came Cristian Battocchio who returned to Chiavari with his new team-mates after following the game along with Lewandowsky in the stands. For the 'former Watford this morning could get the signature on the contract.'' Looks perm deal to me.
I guess it's permanent by looking at the Virtus Entella website. Using Google Translate revealed the clue in the last paragraph to me: "For the 'former Watford this morning could get the signature on the contract." Apparently he watched their last game yesterday. Shame he's been sold, had potential to be a classy little player but it isn't suited to the Championship.
Wasn't quite good enough to be a regular in a title chasing team. Munari has better physical attributes and experience.
Contracted to 2016 according to transfer market http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cristian-battocchio/profil/spieler/129868 Season loan? Am I missing something but can't be permanent as Pozzo's would want a decent transfer fee and Batty surely as an Italian U21 International would have long term ambitions to go to a bigger club.
Virtus Entella look like a Sunday league team judging by the photo on their website (I know they're now Serie B). Surely he's better than that!?
Logically, it makes sense.... but wow, gutted to be honest Good player and a fantastic professional, will follow his career wherever he goes :doom:
Lol I wonder why people assume Italian 2nd tier is a much lower standard than English 2nd tier based on crowd size and facilities? Italian Serie B players are almost universally better technical players than their English counterparts.
I think if we didnt have homegrown rules to worry about magoo would have gone and Batto would have stayed fml :doom:
Yes I know you think the European lower leagues are fantastic and I'm sure there are good players in those leagues. The fact that most of the foreign guys who have come over here mention the quality of the football in the Championship suggests that it's of a higher standard than Serie B though.
Batto... :doom: At least we can take some comfort in the fact that it's all because the squad has been improved. He was always going to strugfle to get past Abdi, Tozser, Mcgugan, Andrews and Munari. Especially with a homegrown quota. WatfordTalk, can you make a goals video with sad music that fades to black at the end?
They mention the pace and competitiveness a lot more than they do the technical side ... The standards are changing but I've seen German amateurs that would run rings round some Championship players from as little as ten years ago.
Great little player but struggled to stamp his authority on a game. Munari is like Batty-go-large, bags of technique plus bigger, stronger, more imposing. Think we will get another midfielder, an attacking one...
missed my point mate if there was no HG rules Batto could have stayed (if he wanted) and magoo could have gone.although magoo might be on his way anyway!
Watford Observer are saying (guessing) it's a loan move as there's no official confirmation from either club. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp..._to_leave_Watford_for_Serie_B_side/?ref=var_0
