So you're saying he was one of the worst/'least good' of the non-homegrown players then? I very much doubt the HG rule is the reason. The club initially tried to loan him out in January 2014 but Beppe publicly asked for him to be retained. He then played and got into the squad. Then in the very next transfer window, around the time Gaffer said bye bye, he is moved out to a Serie B club for the whole 14/15 season. It was obviously a long-term intention of the people who assess the players for the Pozzos to move him on. In fairness the Serie B loan was labelled as developmental by the club but clearly he never hit the mark.
Yes definitely the least good non homegrown imo. But if there were no HG rules then I think he'd have regularly played for us last season, albeit many from the bench. I accept he never quite secured his place in the first XI and it's right to move him on but still think there is a cracking little player in there.
Spain also has relaxed rules from most African countries I believe. The real next step would be a Dutch/Belgian/Portugese club, no work permit or homegrown rules at all.
Has the fishal even acknowledged he's gone and thanked him yet ? I can't see it after a 20 second look. Bit out of order if they haven't ....or do they not bother to do that sort of thing anymore, too busy bringing others in ??
