I did not realise that Ighalo was one of Swansea's targets he can't be bad then.

    Merged.

Please let's try and keep things in one nice and easy thread instead of loads of different threads all over the place in different sections etc.

I think it just means 'Out of those whose contracts expire at the end of next month who aren't you offering a new one to?'

I think it's designed to help unattached players find new clubs quicker as no doubt a list is circulated.

Fulham are also reported to be interested in signing Vydra now.

Well Fulham arent known for spending large amounts of money on players so I think it's unlikely, but you never know.

Doubt Fulham will be willing to pay what the Pozzos want for him. More to the point, it would hardly be a step up from playing for Udinese - more the other direction.

Right at the end of that article it does say that he may move back here on a perm basis, clearly his agent drumming up business again. Thought I read somewhere that Pozzos only work with trusted agents for players, did they miss their due diligence on this guy?

This guy knows how to talk. He's talked Vydra up all season, now this is the "come and get him" call. Mentioning that they've recieved other offers will get people/clubs to act sooner rather than later.

Vydra to Chelsea with Chalobah plus £10M going back to Udinese.

Ighalo, Badu and Merkel shipped to us.

I'd be reasonably happy with that outcome.

Not ready to make a meaningful impact on the Premier League.

Hope Pudil and Zola talk sense into him. Stay this year after scoring 30 goals and tearing everyone apart for a season (hopefully) and (potentially) go up with the your team-mates or still have an amazing season, bang in goals but ultimately fall short so join a Premier League club at the tender age of 22? Win-Win situation really.

He can be directly involved in us getting promoted next season and if he left now i don't think he'd do very well we'd probably have him back on loan by January.

His agent of course is going to tout his name about, his contract is up next year, has not been offered another deal, and 1 thing people forget if the Pozzo's say No to the money offered he will not be sold, then face losing him next year for nothing. This is a ploy to get him a better deal, and settled.

So all the talk of players having already signed pre contracts is rubbish?

Vydra is being touted by his agent, a little more blatantly than most but I guess that's natural. For the agent Vydra is probably his prized asset and his value must have shot up bearing in mind his high profile in the championship added to the fact he only played a handful of games in his previous 3 seasons.

The Pozzo's could well cash in as his contract expires I think this time next year when he could go on a free. Spurs would be my favourite especially if Bale goes to Real Madrid or Man Utd.

Hope he stays but at least if he goes we are no longer likely to bring in the likes of Garner or Ilewumo.

The Daily Mail article says his contract is up in June, so if true, he can go anywhere. WO said he has 2 year's left on his contract and Pozzo's trying to extend it to 5 years with an increased offer. I think I believe the WO rather than the DM. The papers and TV have few games going on, so have to fill their pages with rumours. They often just make it up. If it happens, they say we were the first to report it. I've never seen a paper say, "that story we made up about Vydra was total garbage and we're sorry". As fans, we just have to wait until our Club tells us what has happened. Nothing much can happen until 1st July, as player contracts run until 30 June. Then it gets exciting.

My biggest fear is spurs gettin something stupid like 80m for Bale, then they will have the money to take the gamble with Vydra.

I cant see Fulham paying enough for him and I dont think Arsenal will make the gamble for what we are asking,

If you read between the lines, what his agent has said is that Vydra will be happy at Watford next year but wants play at a higher level. He'll sign unless someone makes a silly offer; this is just a negotiating tactic designed to get a better deal, and potentially shake out a desperate bid from a Prem/Bundesliga team.

If we don't go up next year, I think that'll be the last we see of him.

I don't expect to keep him, if we do it will be a bonus.

However his agent needs to understand it won't take much to get british fans onto Vydra's back if wherever he goes he's regarded as a money grabbing toe rag.

Vydra is starting to annoy me. It is ok saying it is his agent talking but Vydra employs him. To be honest during the last three months of the season he was generally poor and Fessi should have been partnering Deeney.

If he wants to go and pick up big money playing in Spurs or some other Premier teams reserves then so be it.

I've said before that I didn't think Vydra was yet good enough for anything above a lower premiership side at the moment. I think that defences nullified him to a degree by sitting back and not letting him use his pace and then he struggles. Also, of course, the general ability of the defenders will be higher and they will be faster. He's had a long time out with injuries and I think another year with us, will benefit him.

But, if I'm honest £8k a week is pretty low compared with what he'll be offered in the Prem. (maybe £20k or more). I'd have played for Luton for £20k a week, at age 21.

So I think he'll go, but hope I'm wrong.

The president at Real Madrid has just been re elected on the basis he promised to spend that exact figure to get Bale. If they did bid that amount (he's not that good but who is?) then they will certainly be able to afford Vydra but would they really bid the £15m wanted after the second half of the season. I can't see anybody bidding what The Pozzo's want to be honest and would not be surprised to see him sign a long term deal either here or Udinese with the promise that if a cartain amount of money is tabled he can leave. That is pretty much what they say to all their players.

Just seen a very laughable tweet from well known twitter account 'GB Transfers' that we are getting Di Natale on loan to fire us into the premier league. If that's a deal that was never ever going to happen that's it.
