agree entirely with this of course - however, the accumulators can and do work, again if you find the value. There was an instance last season where one specific bookie took a hiding on both teams to score - basically he was giving too much value on too many matches thus the accy ( most matches were set at the same odds of 5/6) on a coupon giving the accumulators great value based on research, percentages and various calcultions the experts do.

I still do me fun bets - seems to be a saturday afternoon and midweek habit, but for the price of a few of pints i write it off as entetainment - i wish i had the mind like the ones on me betting forum - however after 5 wfc matches this season of which i have tipped only two matches, on that site is in profit of 17 pts. Last season profit was 37 pts.

Managed to get 5/1 on the draw. Just a shame Liver****e messed up the accy as that would have returned a nice three figure sum. Ah well, still up for the weekend.

Good odds at 10/13 on it being either a Draw or Newcastle win tonight.

good luck with that, but there are too many possible outcomes in that one for me. three championship games, when we all know the championship is the most unpredictable league in the world. my current strategy is betting with a double at most, and quite often combining a football game favourite with an american sport result.

american sports don't have draws, so there is one less possible outcome. ive found so far it makes a big difference.

Inspirational call PYA. Saw you say it in the shoutbox and thought to myself - "I hope he's stuck a few quid on it". Bet that penalty meant a bit more to you at that point!

    barnsley and crewe

£4k+ had those teams scored as well, for ten squids..

£63 win on a Over 2.5 sevenfold yesterday.

Happy enough, but slightly gutted I didn't put a fiver on it like I do most weeks! Still, a profits a profit. Will fund Tuesdays efforts.

I'm thinking the same with my current treble. Had Wigan, Reading and Newcastle - £1 on, potential £175 back. Fingers crossed.

Wigan was a blinding bet, 7/1 at Hills. Didn't back it though!

I only bet small amounts for a bit of fun and have got £2 on us to be promoted (at 16 I think) and had £2 on a draw last night at 3.4 ).

I've been following a twitter account called @ChasingProfit which pushes out some good tips for free. It also has a membership option for £10 a month which pushes out many more tips.

So, after thinking I'd placed a bet for £7.50 at 66/1 that'd we'd win the league, it turns out that the bet hadn't gone through and my potential £502.50 isn't actually there. Had to happen just as I start believe we could actually win the league. Bollix. Best I can find now is 18/1. :(

I have £3 each way at 45/1 for us to win the league. I wonder what the odds on Palace getting promotion were?

I wonder what the odds on us and Palace getting promotion were...

I only put about 50p-£3 on each bet, and do a lot of accumulators. Student money! Looks like my luck might have changed today. Burnley, MK Dons, Cardiff and Inter all got late goals to secure the results I had money on - if Norwich win I've done pretty well for myself.

    As I post that...

    FC Seoul v Busan I'Park - 1.50
Wellington Phoenix v Western Sydney Wanderers FC - 1.66
    MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon - 1.36
    Cardiff v Sheffield Wednesday - 1.61
    Cologne v Ingolstadt - 1.80
    Alfreton Town v Leyton Orient - 1.80

    All came in - £1.50 bet returned £26.76 :D

    Yesterdays bets.

    Goals galore

    Bolton/Ipswich
    Man City/Everton
    Carlisle/Bournemouth

    2.50 won 13.75

    Goals galore

    Millwall/Charlton
    Rochdale/York
    Rotherham/Notts County
    Coventry/Morecambe
    Sheff Utd/Port Vale
    Bury/Southend
    Accrington/Oxford

2.50 would have won about 600. Farking Millwall/Charlton! :dismay:

if im honest accumulator bets are not the way to go, better to go for higher stake with lower odds if your taking it seriously.

Main reason I do it is to add a bit of interest into something that I'm not as passionate about as I used to be.

Not earning enough to risk decent sums of money to watch one match but the odd £1 to create 6 games of entertainment is pretty good value for me, win or not. Also, for me, winning £10 on a 50p, 20-1 accumulator is much more satisfying than winning £10 after betting a fiver.

I agree, rarely do I bet over a quid. The other day I won £40 odd from £1, nothing more satisfying!
