    I wouldn't be suprised if this is concluded tonight.

    Bassini has surely bitterly released his statement to try and upset the deal at the 11th hour. I give it 2 hours for an announcement ;)

    Bloody hell I only just got the end of the "deals off" thread and now theres a 4 page "deals on" thread!! Seriously going through a monster roller coaster.....this is better than a christmas special off Eastenders....just hope the pub doesnt get burnt down!

    What Bas may yet say is that at the time of his statement, there was no proof of funds but these then arrived. Seems unlikely to me because of the wording of the club statement - presumably authorised if not in fact written by Prof Timperely and Mr Fransen but well, who knows what to believe anymore.

    One day, we'll look back on this crazy episode and laugh...

    I have to say, I have very mixed emotions about the takeover and don't see it as some sort of deliverance into a promised land by any means. However, I can't see any future without there being new owners and the only girl at the dance is the Pozzo deal, so I hope it gets confirmed.

    Bassini is simply ludicrous. I like to think I'm OK with words, but honestly, I can't draw on the adjectives or similes to really do justice to the Bassman.

    This has the feel of an old fashioned coup d'état in a third world capital, with rival factions fighting for control of the radio/TV station. I am half expecting an even briefer pro-Bas statement to appear on the OS soon!
