Theo has scored 6 in 6 now this season :O
Maybe he's playing the right league now though.
Sordell looks like a real talent, i don't think he will start today, he will probably come on late in the game, to give us something different

He is starting today alongside Graham..Lansbury is starting in midfield with Jenko, Hodson starts at RB, Mariappa at CH with DeMerit. Willo has not travelled.

Indeed he should be, him and graham might suite each other.

He had a decent game today aparently, I think he could be a good player for the future if we hang on to him.

Robinson didn't get much of a chance with us,and now Sordell has been thrown in at the deep end.
Good luck to the lad,but I still think it's better to start with Ellington or Hoskins upfront, they are far more experienced and Sordell could learn a lot coming on as a sub and be an Impact player for the time being, like he did at leeds.

Would be nice if instead of letting Luther go off to Stevenage we could have utilised his immense experience for our young forwards much as Cyril Regis has done at WBA.

His pace late in a game would be a nice weapon to have.

I will get slated for this by some, but I said after the Donny game when he came on, scored a couple and then did fark all else - he is lazy and again tonight he was a passenger. People will get excited by the fact he had a purple patch and got four in three but if you watch him closely his all round game is cack.

If we are honest then he wouldn't get in many other Championship starting line ups. For a player that has shown he can finish and that he does have pace, there are not many better players in the Champ to be playing alongside than Golden Graham yet he seems insistent on fucikng about with the ball when he has it and trying to be flash. The fact he is up for a PFA players award is a joke and can only be in return for his four in threerather than his all round performances.

Jason Norville scored for us once at Wednesday if I remember, he looked quality then,

I actually think Sordell is a good prospect though, his control is fantastic and technically speaking he is a very decent prospect. He will most likely face a spell out soon with Deeney coming into contention anyway.

True but he was **** tonight

Nothing he did seemed to work and Cowie and Martin Taylor also had off days, I would mark each of those 3 under 5/10

Danny Graham and Jordan Mutch were the pick of the bunch for me

Sordell is young, you're going to get inconsistent performances from him at this age. He should really be a player to come on make an impact from the bench at his age!!!

He did have an off day and was at fault for the 3rd in some sense by giving a cheap ball away.

Maybe wants to be impressing too much by trying stuff on his own with the ball when there are better options around.

At least Deeney looked better but overall it just shows how important keeping Graham fit is!

Headless chicken springs to mind. Still young though so needs a few seasons to develop his scoring talent.

On the radio he was praised all game.

Mooney was saying that Swansea were pushing their full backs as wide as possible to stretch our midfield so that we couldn't get the ball (which worked), and the upshot was that Graham and Sordell were left isolated trying to close down about 5 defenders.

They said both forwards didn't stop trying to close down the defence and were praising them all game for their work ethic.

Methinks that people are too quick to attack our players. "Lets all get on the back of our 19 year old academy kid who has scored four goals in six appearances this season, that will help"

I won't shoot you down but I disagree somewhat. Swansea had a man on him the second he got the ball, he had no time whatsoever. They definately trargeted him last night. Sordell ran all over that pitch trying to get space and gave time and space to others because of it.

He'll be better for the experience.

Amazing. He has been working really hard at closing down defenders, which is why he usually looks knackered after about an hour. Not at his best on Saturday, and poor last night (along with most others).

It's probably time to give him a rest - remember the last time Malky did that? - but it's certainly not the time to start slagging him off.

As soon as we went 1-0 down last night the atmosphere changed and ended up putting more pressure on the players who in turn then started rushing and trying to force the ball when in attacking positions instead of trying to work the opportunities!
We've just got to put it down to one of those nights and move on, we've got a fair few youngsters and when your game is high intensity pressure on the opposition you cannot maintain that Saturday Tuesday Saturday throughout the season without some off days, you will have off nights, so for those moaners get over it, it happens!!!

were it not last season we were begging that we have a player who runs in behind defences, trys something different, it didnt come off tonight but every player on the planet will have a bad game. Last night it looked like malky told him to drop off a lot deeper to try and match swanseas 4-5-1 which didnt work but thats more down to be playing out of position. Fickle fans

Interesting response. My original post wasn't an emotional one because of last nights debacle, I have not been impressed with him all season. I am not one to jump on players backs because of one bad performance individually or by the team, but I do feel he has got lucky in that due to our financial situation we have had to turn to him as a starter when he isn't ready. In a 'normal' club with a steady financial situation he would probably make 8-10 appearances from the bench this season at most with a couple of Carling cup starts to his name.

Looks like no young home-grown player would get much of a look-in in LBH's team. Maybe he should go and manage Manchester City.

Where have I said that? In my book there is nothing better than youngsters coming through. Lee Hodson is going to be a great player when he finds consistency, his good performances have been sublime but a couple of bad ones seem to have knocked his confidence but he'll come back a better player. Mariappa is having a superb season to date. Dale Bennett is going to be a top flight defender within three years.

For me to state one youngster coming in is not ready and not very good in my opinion is hardly me saying youngsters should never get a look in is it?

Personally I find that youngsters say "like" too much are are also unable to find jeans that fit their bottoms properly. Other than that them seem to be OK.
