So according to the Sun today, Zola will be fining players who don't learn English after a certain time. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...atford-players-who-fail-to-learn-English.html "There is only a certain amount of time for them to learn. After that there will be some fines."
Did anyone else see one of our development players tweet last night with an instant reply from one of the more senior pro's advising caution? Made me chuckle
I didn't see the tweet, what was it? Saw tweets from the two players after it had been deleted though.
Not sure about fines, if someone really can't get their head around a foreign language it's not their fault! But the fact that we're having defensive issues and only one of our centre back pairing can speak English at the moment is a bit of an issue.
Are you sure they've not just misquoted the DVLA as Zola? Did I miss much Saturday? Lloyd's made my t-shirt obsolete. :sad1:
I think people are reading into the word fine too much. If you've played at a decent level you'll know that a fine probably means forfeit of some sort. e.g. Chelsea used to have one where if you messed up a trainin drill the whole team got to flick your ear. Stupid stuff like that, I doubt they would be financially penalising players as that would be counter productive
Good thing Tevez isn't a part of the squad then. Zola is right though. It is better for team harmony and the focus should be on words like get it into the mixer, kick him in the air, long throw and so on.........
Looking at the tweets from some of the home grown players in our squad... they should be given English lessons!
