So we are trialling udi players who have been involved with udi for a average of 3 years. How about this. We have been given the scraps of the udi squad because of the arrogance of the new team thinkin getting out of the champ would be easy

Yup could be that. Depends on your mindset I suppose. Some WFC fans will think this as they always like to look at the negative and look for drama. The truth is probably somewhere between the two!

Ever heard of the expression "if it ain't broke don't fix it?"

Looking back, I was impressed with what Dyche did last season, I think we all were. Odds on faves to go down (AGAIN) but he worked a miracle
with what he had, which was a group of young, talented players who worked their socks off for the team, the fans and the town. Where we finished
    last season was amazing.

I just hope and prey that the talent our excellent youth system brings in does not get pushed aside by the opportunity to bring in Udi players from the
Pozza'a. Of course, a good mix and blend is always nice to see, but I want the brilliance of what out Acamedy produces to be seen on the center stage.

The best youth players will always get a chance, it's just the average ones that will get pushed aside/let go. How many excellent youth players come through? 1, at a push maybe 2 a season?

Bingo. I remember looking at the BBC article on the 50 academy graduates into the first team in the last 10 years and thinking wad this because they were talented and would set the league on fire or was it out of necessity. I decided it was the latter because we didn't have enough money to constantly buy players year after year to prop up the squad with enough quality to stay in the league and so relied on our academy. When you look at it that way those academy graduates (with the exception of some excellent and duff ones) were good enough. For getting promotion however they weren't, otherwise we'd have been challenging for promotion every year.

Our aims have now changed. It's not simply to stave off relegation but it's to fortify our position in mid table and create the team for promotion. Simply our academy isn't that good. Coincidentally this is where being cat 1/2 academy would be very good and when we finally have cleared the debts and our club is in the PL we'll be in a good enough position to improve our academy akin to Granada
