Wish there was a post about the fans view on the Premiership before the season, be interesting to compare the views before and after

So it's the end of the season... for some it's a relief, others it's a dissapointment. What did you think of the so called "promise-land"?

IMO, After watching and witnessing the premiership i found it ridiculously over-priced and over rated!

My verdict....cheers for the experience, it will benefit us in future seasons!

Thanks for the cash but the Fizzy Pop league was so much more enjoyable.

    Back to proper footy.

    hard - alot more proffesional
louder bigger fans - but at the same time bad fans
extra media coverage - but unfair and biased
better opposition - but big egos
    a steep learning curve
over rated - but its the only place to be - its the best league in the world and like we failed to do so this time - we need to make them adapt to us - not the other way around

I personally have loved it. We've been through the proverbial sh1t in the last few years so it's been a welcome distraction.

I've made some great friends and had some great experiences this season even if we haven't won as much as I'd have liked us to. Seeing stadia such as The Emirates and Old Trafford are things I'll never forgot, as well as the great days out at Bolton, Wigan and Newcastle.

Of course there's more fun to be had in the Championship but I would'nt change this season for the world. It's been good interms of learning for the players and the fans have been superb for the most-part in my opinion.

Goodbye the Premiership, Roll on the Championship.

The worst thing about it for me, is the fact that only 2 matches on final day had anything riding on them. Everything was sewn up long ago and this looks likely to get worse, rather than better in the future. Remember the days when Jeff Stelling would foam at the mouth explaining how each goal can change all the permutations with regard to title, champs league places, relegation etc. Today he must have been comatose.

I think the relegation thing got him excited enough this year... he looked pretty franic on the big screen

There will be many things I wont forget like the great days out at West Ham, Man City, Villa semi final the list is actually endless...

There are things I would like to forget and wont miss, the fact about bias media and a massive overdraft in my bank a/c due to overpriced games etc.

However, one thing I definately will miss is the money we have gained from this season and the experiances all of us including the team have enjoyed... we will take this with us and evolve into a better club.

Bring on the championship where the real fans are, oh ive missed them so much!!!!!

We would all be loving the premiership if we won games.

All started when we didnt invest a great deal last summer missed out on Robbo,Ellington,Edwards,McAnuff,John etc

One thing I've hated is the commentators everyone dislikes us and rubbishes us.

    Money Money Money...

And the Money splits and divides the league into 4 groups...

    The top 4
    The fight for 5th, 6th & 7th Uefa Cup
    The Wobblers
    The fight to avoid Relegation

The fight to be Champions fizzled out to absolutely nothing due to 2nd best team in the country not being able to beat Bolton at home or Newcastle away!!

The fight for 5th which is the one place in the league that all the rest of the teams in the league can realisticaly fight for was really non-eventful, but Spurs clambered into it!

I could not tell you which way round 6th and 7th finished between Bolton and Everton but apparently they were the best of the rest!

The wobblers wobbled about a bit but managed to find enough points when it really mattered! But seriously though... very average teams indeed!

The only exciting bit of the league was the relegation scrap at the bottom of the league but the Premier League ruined that by allowing West Ham to field an illegal team all season and not question early enough as to why they had received two players worth 40 million pounds for free, and not question it!

Thoroughly loved every minute of it though and can't wait to be back...

I've not enjoyed this year cos i hate us losing i don't the pundits sl4gging us off it's over priced and played by "A"list celebrities. I also hate every armchair fan who has never been to see his true love .................. (fill in blank with Manu/Liverpool/arsenal/chelsea) passing comment on how crap we are and how wonderful they are. Next season i hope to see a winning team and i will also not have to deal with these to55ers who think they know about football because they watch skysports news in the morning to find out how their team has done from the night before.
Saying all that i wouldn't be saying this if i was a Reading Fan.
If we'd won more and stayed up I'd of enjoyed the season but we didn't so i've not enjoyed it at all
