What side you put up against Chavski? Team news: Helguson won't be available to us whilst Lansbury is 50/50. On a bright note, Ross Jenkins is fit again and will be involved in the squad. My Team: ------------------Loach -----Hodson,Mariappa,DeMerit,Doyley --Cowie,Severin,Eustace,Cleverley,Harley -----------------Graham Subs: Lee, Bennett, Sadler, Kiernan, Jenkins, Hoskins, Henderson I would drop Severin for Lansbury if he is fit and drop Kiernan off the bench.
Spot on there with the team Nak i feel. I dont think we can play 442 so 451 and your team is just about the only option. Although maybe move harley insider and cowie on to wing?
Agreed I would maybe be willing to try this but it wont happen ------------------Loach -----Hodson,Mariappa,DeMerit,Doyley -----Cowie,Eustace,Cleverley,Harley -----------------Hoskins -----------------Graham If Lansbury is fit then in for Harley with a swap in positions with Cleverley
Malky is a genius to have us in mid-table. When was the last time we had such a poor squad? That's an eye-wateringly thin set of options.
I'd go for that one, with Hoskins in the hole. Last chance to prove himself. May rise to the occasion and as I've said previously- he does a lot better then starting than off the bench. May as well start like that and change to a true 4-5-1 later when it needs freshening up.
When was his first chance? He had a small run of games and was shyte, but so were the rest of the team. He had scored 17 goals by Christmas in League Two - he is exactly the same striker we would be looking to sign now I would imagine! We are paying him a sodding ransom, and seeing as Danny Graham is now our only striker, there is no reason not to give him a game.
He had a FAIR run in the team under Aidy and perhaps a small run under Brend0n, and I feel that he shouldn't have been dropped so readily. He also had a chance or 2 under Malkay. Again, scored a goal and got dropped. Something isn't "right"... but then neither is having a striker who scores for fun then can't score for toffee, despite the workrate (Mr Graham!)
Hoskins Final chance against CHELSEA? Funny bloke you are sir. Playing graham up front is probably what will happen for a while now even though hoskins is a perfecty fine striker , just give him a couple of matches and see how he goes. Since graham is doing a carlisle over us we need someone else chipping in and now HH has gone, who do you suggest? If liam Henderson plays at Chelsea then that says it all doesn't it.
http://www.watfordfc.com/page/Preview/0,,10400~1919960,00.html Lansbury does however have an ankle injury and is a doubt for the big cup tie. Fellow midfielder Ross Jenkins is still unavailable with a back injury. Loan defender Craig Cathcart has returned to Manchester United for knee surgery, while talented midfielder Tom Cleverley is eligible to play against The Blues.
A fair shout but not sure Severin will start ahead of Angela ------------------Loach -----Hodson,Mariappa,DeMerit,Doyley --Cowie,Lansbury,Eustace,Cleverley,Harley -----------------Graham If we go a goal down and don't look like getting anywhere I'd push cleverly forward and maybe bring Severin in for Harley. Would do this at half time and not leave it too late as in previous weeks.
I agree with the lineup Nak suggested. ------------------Loach -----Hodson,Mariappa,DeMerit,Doyley --Cowie,Severin,Eustace,Cleverley,Harley -----------------Graham Don't really expect anything tomorrow, but hey, if everyone rises to the occaision, I don't see why we can't do what the USA did to Spain in the Confederations Cup, and with the Chelsea defence looking its poorest in years, with Cech clouting every defender at some point over the course of the 90 mins, anything can happen. Will be a great atmosphere, and a good afternoon out!
Definatly go with 4-5-1, would start with both severin and eustace with cleverley just behind graham.
An idea maybe could be to start 4-5-1 with severin, eustace and harley in midfield so that we would be as solid as possible when defending. Some sides prefer or try to do that personally i think it is way too defensive. Then later on we could bring on a more attacking midfielder if still dawing or losing. For example bringing on Cowie in the second half and getting rid of severin. The team being- ------------------------Loach ----------Hodson,Mariappa,DeMerit,Doyley -----Cleverley,Severin,Lansbury, Eustace,Harley -----------------------Graham Kind of gets ruined if lansbury isnt available though as cowie would have to come in
I agree with Hoskins in the hole. Cowie is too lightweight to play centrally but Cleverley was great v QPR in central role
Has to be Loach Hodson Mariappa DeMerit Doyley Cowie Severin Eustace Cleverly Lansbury Graham Or if no Lansbury: Loach Hodson Mariappa DeMerit Doyley Cowie Severin Eustace Clevely Harley Graham Same subs as always...
