I know many of you are sitting somewhere new this season, or like me, have a new season ticket. So what's the new seat like? Seven of us bought a block of seats this season, 3 adults behind 4 kids. We were put over on the left hand side of the Rookery and were a bit concerned we would be too far over for a decent view and too far down to stay dry. A good test tonight then! Well I have to say the seats are excellent. Back and accross far enough to be dry, close to the exit for the bar and toilet, and the people around us tonight seemed to be the non-moaning type. Top notch view too. Having the kids in front means they can stand up, sit down, stand on the seat etc without a problem. Clappy sticks can be grabbed without warning and lobbed over the side of the stand Love the new bar. The kids have already been warned that they'll be sitting alone for many 2nd halves this season while we check out the available beer. One of the chaps remembered to swipe his card when he got a round in, how many loyalty points is that Going to enjoy this season.
Good stuff mate. My first home game will be Southampton, so will check out the new matchday experience then...sounds good though. Did I hear right when someone said they now do 'bacon rolls' at the kiosks? Count me in arty3:
I'm now sitting in the Vicarage Road end on the right hand side after moving from the East Stand. A decent view and a roof over me (unlike last season :dismay so I can't complain.
New seats in the Lower Rous not bad. Right at the back, about level with the 18yrd line at the Vic Rd End. Near the bar (no alcohol cos it's in view of the pitch :dismay and the toilets. Also good for a quick exit as the 20 or so seats in our section of the row are between two pillars, so have an entrance all of their own. Will probably look to move next season if I'm honest though could have done a lot lot worse.
this is my third season in my seat , is it me or does the pitch get closer and closer to the east stand ?
my first game is saturday. was 3 rows back from front of east stand and nearly drowned in the wigan game. the wettest i can ever remember in my life. now moved back about 6 rows i think so looking forward to first view on saturday.
New sets in vicarage road end. I've had the bad luck to be placed in front of the most annoying family in vicarage road, constant jabbering about weddings from the women and rubbish analysis of who's playing well from the men. I think I'm going to do what that belgium guy did and cut off my ears
Where I was sitting last night there were many empty seats to the left hand side of the Rookery. Too many to be stay aways last night, I just think they looked unattractive to people getting new ST's. After sitting in various parts of the Vicarage Road end last season I'd have to say the seats near me are way better, and the facilities in the Rookery are light years better. Move.
I never even made my seat, plazma screens with beer and food kiosks in the concourse, although i wasn't impressed with the new 'healthy bar' at all!
I think i would rather go out for a few beers with my mates and have a laugh than stay in with a few cans and listen to it on the radio. Drinking on your own at home sitting by a radio sounds a bit sad to me personally but each to their own. . .
yes we are , and when we are very dareing we stay up late and watch repeats of deal or no deal , exciteing stuff.
