I am a great fan of Aidy, but he needs to do what he gets the players to do and rate his own performance. If he took an honest look he'd drop himself for the next game. That was a shocking performance from selection to substitutions. Its all very well blaming the players but what was the plan they were supposed to follow? Knock it up to the painfully slow striker with no goals in 25 games, or pass it to the feet of the young one lurking on the wing who has my level of ball control? Actually I'm not that bad. Failing that you spread it to the centre midfielder playing wide 1st half, or second half take off the one truly effective forward and then pump high balls at his 5ft 3in replacement. You could mix it up a bit beforehand as well though and the board could help. You could, for example sell your one fit premiership quality forward and invest £2.50 of the proceeds on a lucky bag of 8 players of unknown quality. I really wonder what the likes of Smith, Bangura, Priskin and even Ashikodi thought of today's selection but it looked a farce to me. We had two ways to goals before - high energy pressure with the ball coming relentlessly forward, or effective set pieces. Can't see what the plan is now Aidy, but West Ham must be sh*t beyond belief. And as for Bolton, if I never see those ******s again it'll still be too soon!!
Totally agree!!! But be careful what you say fella...you'll get the 'i love Aidy brigade' on your case!
Just to say that the asterisks in the title belong to a certain former Italian manager. It was just like his era today. C'mon Aidy you are much better than that!!
Aidy makes his fair share of mistakes. Some of his substitutions and team selections are baffling at times. But hey, tis life. We've been heading down since late September. If you ask me Aidy's hyped everyone up to believe way too much - that's where his major fault lies. Unfortunately believing in something doesn't automatically make it happen.
My head was in my hands at the passing. I've not got a coaching badge, but I would guess there would be some sort of practicing of it midweek at most clubs. Fark knows what we do.
I kept looking for the pigeons, expecting them to return and try to build another nest in Bolton's six yard box.
the passing was diabolical. it summed it up when foster try to launch a 60 yard punt onto mcnamees head. i do feel sorry for the likes of ashikodi and priskin, they must think they are well carp if they can't get on the bench in our team
To be fair chewitt i think we've seen enough of him to see hes very lightweight, quickish but hardly electrifying pace and cant really head, had 1 ok game against wigan where he got a very soft goal but has generally been very poor, i dont really rate ashikodi that much either but they are both teenagers so we will see
we cant score goals, and aidy wont start him. what does that say. he is not good enough. the facts dont lie.
Priskin had a good game at home to Hull in the league cup and took his goal well. He was impressive away at Fulham, he has a good touch and can bring others into play with some nice flicks.
We're saving all our best play for the FA cup - Aidy B, master tactician. put all the other teams into a false sense of security by playing carp in the league. See you all at WEMBERLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
