Would have been a good impact player for you, quite a big loss

Are you able to replace him?

    Who will it be... Cleverley?

Oxlade-Chamberlain looked pretty damn good in that game overall. Really hope his injury isn't that serious.

That lad is swiftly becoming the new SICK NOTE (Darren Anderton) I really hope he makes the World cup, as I thought he was one of our better players last night.

If he doesn't though, who do we have on standby like for like? Or can we draft in someone from outside the standby squad?

    Any suggestions as to who?

Smudger, who do you think will partner Gutierrez up front for Colombia? I was going to stick Martinez in my work FF team after his form for Porto this year. I'm thinking Gutierrez will be a safer bet as the coach seems to stick with him every game.

Should have posted this in the group thread fuzzy ! ;) Teo has been in relatively poor form at the end of the season with River Plate looking disinterested partly with the WC coming up. It is quite conceivable Pekerman could play Bacca off Martinez and switch them around and use Teo as an impact player.

I think England have done pretty well tonight. 70% possession in the first half!

Lucky not to come away with injuries from a tough physical battle.

Did ok but certainly need to be sharper.

Quite good to see our players not react to those tackles as some have done in the past.

Shame about all the disruption, it certainly hugely defeated the purpose of going to Florida to acclimatise in the first place.

Furthermore and judging by the interview AC had with the local expert during and about the weather delay, why was Florida chosen in the first place?

The guy clearly said that that sort of weather was common place at this time of year and that it was not unusual for teams to have to come off the field of play because of it.

    Someone's head needs to roll.

They were trying to replicate hot humid conditions. Sometimes these conditions cause storms!

England looked pretty sharp I thought.

Maybe we can develop into a competitive team, something we havn't seen for years.

I appreciate that, but the expert said those storms are very common is Florida and it is almost expected that games would be interrupted at this time of year.

So where in the world can you play in very hot and humid conditions, yet guarantee no rain or storms?

Why do people always look for faults?

in the last Euro's a game was disrupted because of the rain fall, this could be perfect preparation

All the friendlies are about fitness and conditioning. They mean nothing and come the start no one will care about the last 3 games

No, it isn't because it is you. It was because you think someone in the England camp "head should roll" because of a 25 minute thunderstorm when the team was trying to play in tropical conditions. I just think that is ridiculous, whoever said it.

Maybe you are getting a bit paranoid?

It's just that their point is widely considered wrong.

Maybe the Spanish could have a point but certainly not Argentina, but the main thing is, sport should not be used for political statements like that. If they wish to do something like that in the World Cup, FIFA need to chuck them out.

Fifa have been pretty consistent in banning any political statements like black armbands, or punishing clubs for having political banners. This is no different.

The only person whose head needs to roll is Adrian Chiles. He's a terrible, terrible host at the best of times and watching him make a muppet out of himself during the storm break was so awful I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.

ITV put so much money into showing international football, I really don't understand why they let someone as painfully inadequate as Chiles continue to front it. I genuinely don't know of one person who likes or appreciates his presenting. With his personality and face he should be on TalkSport, not prime-time TV.

They are entitled to their opinion. An opinion the rest of Latin America also agrees with.

Just a shame they're using football for political point scoring. Football should be used to break down those barriers.

I cant believe your views sometimes. One minute you are defending Russia invading another Country, and the next you are suggesting it is perfectly ok to vent a territory dispute that was last settled via a war with hundreds of deaths - at a football match. Plus, they may well be playing us in the World Cup in a few weeks and this will almost certainly ramp up tensions between the players and fans.

It is a disgraceful act by Argentina.

    It's a GAME OF FOOTBALL!!!!!

    Jeeeez!

Whether or not they have a point is irrelevant. That was neither the time nor the place to make it.

Exactly. Nationalistic hostility isn't welcome days before a world cup.
