It's the wc final and you just have to watch it. But argies v germany, who do you support?? After several days angst I'm going for argies, just can't get my head round wanting germany to win.

Just heard lowes quote on wanting to dominate world football, thats made it easier......come on argentina!!

I would love Argentina to win it IF Messi has a great game. He's been a joy to watch for the last few years and it would be lovely to see him play a blinder and win it for his country.

Can't stand Messi or argentina, would like to see germany stuff them.

Glad we're not watching it together then Simms!

  5. Hate them both, but I hate the thought of 80m smug germans more. Come on argies!

Argentina have never implemented a final solution. I'm supporting them.

I am most definitely a European tonight! Will never forgive the Argies for Maradonna's handball!

Argentina are a one man team, Mascherano can not carry them all the tournament. Germany show a real unity together and deserve to win due to their entertaining play this tournament.

Argies for me too. They dive and foul the least out of the 4 semi finalists so had my vote from last week.

Overall though Im just looking forward to 90 mins of insightful analysis from Andy Townsend

More to the point Putin sitting next to Blatter, if you only had one bullet who would get it?

Personally speaking Blatter, but Id put that aside and take out Putin for the overall benefit of the human race....although Id rather take out Yeltsin and all his cronies who stole a whole nations capital resources under the thin disguise of opening up the country to a free market economy

No, but they welcomed most of those who did in order to help them escape trials for war crimes.

    I hope they both lose.

Want the German's, Argentine players bringing out a giant banner regarding the Falklands just pre tournemant is pathetic and football pitches aren't the place for political messages.

Germany will win if they get the first.

    Argentina playing on break.

Fair point. Especially when their government sent a load of 16 year old kids against a full time army

In fact isnt political displays illegal under FIFA ruling

Respect to Germany for resisting the urge to display a similar banner for the Sudetenland.

  24. The Argies had enough chances to win

And the ref is appalling, should have been about 3 red cards apiece

Wouldn't go that far, Aguero should have got a straight red at the minimum.

Deserved win though, that free kick at the end summed Messi's performance up.

Surely Neuer s aerial kick on Higuin was a penalty and probably a red card

Na. Obviously it wasn't a foul by Higuain, that was a stupid decision, but I just saw it as a coming together. All keepers do the same thing so you'd have to send them all off.

Messi was crap. I don't watch Spanish football, so I have no frame of reference, but he was completely ineffectual.

    Right for once.

    ;)

  31. Can't recall all the tackles or the players tbh but it seemed a lot of yellows (that could have been double yellows) the ref chose to ignore

Indeed they are it's "under investigation".

How was Messi player of the tournament then? In the easy group games he was great and then got tired.

Goal and the tournament and golden boot for Rodriguez, surely he was the winner. I may have even given in to Neuer for his keeping.

Really pleased with the result for Germany. Messi player if the tournament...WTF???

Rodriguez defo player of tournament . And if Brazil hadn't been allowed to kick him off the pitch he may have been in the final
