Falcao and Khedira look to be amongst the most notable players who will in all probability miss the World Cup. Losing Falcao will be a bigger blow to the Colombians and seriously affect their chances of making the quarterfinals.

Germany can replace Khedira without too many issues. Still plenty of rioting going on in Brazil as you may have seen on the news channels. Spain can be gotten at and if they are they are pretty weak at the back. They have not exactly steam rollered teams recently.

I would like to see our starting 11 be this tonight:

    Hart
    Shaw
    Cahill
    Smalling
    Johnson/Walker (Who ever isn't injured)
    Lallana
    Henderson
    Gerrard
    Sterling
    Rooney
    Sturridge

    4-2-3-1

The 2 being CMs (Gerrard and Henderson) and the 3 being AM (Rooney), and two wide men (Lallana and Sterling) - Sturridge up on his own.

    I would play:

    Almunia
    (eligible on residency)
    Doyley Taylor Harley Robinson
    Townsend Lansbury Chalobar Johnson
    Young Graham

  8. Jumbolina

    Jumbolina First Team

It is a sad reflection on our national squad that Smalling is anywhere near the picture.

If you can prove it, then ill give it too you haha

Based on Average ratings this season, Smalling is better:

I would have put Curtis Davies in alongside Cahill to be honest.

Where is Ross Barkley in all of this? Is he injured?

Why does Dawson never get in the squad anymore? Has he retired from internationals? Far better than Smalling and a good leader

Best advert ever? I can't wait to see what Nike will do to try and top their World Cup 2010 ad.

That Nike ad depicted Rooney living in a **** hole for being crap at the World Cup. He was crap but not is on 300k a week. They lied to me.

Did you buy this in a shop? Just wondering if you can get it online anywhere

My girlfriend got it for me, I assume it is from a shop. It is the official Panini one so there is probably a way to get it online.

How many watford players will be at the World Cup? If we include former players? How does this compare with other teams in our division and higher?
What is the total number of watford linked players to have been to a World Cup?

Pretty sure it's just Belkalem and possibly Ashley Young (hopefully not though).

Lucas Neill is in the sticker album. His 6 minutes count.

Lucas Neill, Essaid Belkalem, Tom Cleverley must be the three most likely to go. Belkalem in particular. Can't see Ashley Young or Adam Johnson going, but Ben Foster might sneak in ahead of Ruddy. Don't think Demerit, Bouazza or ****tu are considered for their national teams anymore. Can't think of any other players to play for teams going to the World Cup - we'd have a good representation if Jamaica were going! Doyley in the World Cup would be incredible.

With Watford having been crap this year, my attention has slowly been turning toward the World Cup. Anybody else excited for it? Personally, I can't wait.

I'm not too fussed about England, because I find it hard to get behind Roy and his slowly slowly slowly approach. With the likes of Sterling, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana etc in good form, we have the opportunity to play quick, technical and exciting football. Sadly Roy won't be able to let go of playing it safe and wishing for 11 James Milners. Hoping we manage to sneak through in 2nd place so we play the first round game on my birthday and I'll be back in the UK for it.

If I was boss, I'd probably look to line up the same way that Liverpool have been doing so lately, the diamond in midfield, trying to make the most of Sterling, Sturridge and Gerrard who've had good seasons.

    Hart
    Baines, Cahill, Jagielka, Johnson
    Gerrard
    Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain or Lallana,
    Sterling,
    Rooney, Sturridge

That aside, there's not much better than having 2 or 3 games of football to watch every afternoon/evening in the pub, loads of different story lines to follow etc etc.

I can't wait for it, especially since I finish uni in two weeks and have f all to do! Football twice a day for 3 weeks is best.

Only thing is I'll be flying to Florida on the day of the final  which is annoying. It also means England will probably win the world cup this year, just because I'd miss it.

Really looking forward to the World Cup as having up to 3 games on each day is fantastic stuff. England being there is a nice bonus and keeps the interest up even though I know we don't have a cat in hells chance.

    My predictions:

    Fred will win golden boot

England WILL make it out the group stages

Chile will make it out the group stages, knocking out either Holland or Spain.

Japan will win their group ahead of Ivory Coast/Colombia.

USA will end the group stages with more points than Portugal.

I can't wait for this, the timings work beautifully. Get home, have some dindins, enjoy an entire evening of footy.

After I left my comment I googled it and was on the FIFA website but never clicked on that the times I read weren't UK times... was gutted as most of the times were during the day when I would be at work.

Couldn't be happier they are all late, works out perfect
