    It's Boro I don't believe in, not us. :D

  2. Derby remind me of us last year.... playing it around all very nicely without actually penetrating the opposition defence

    Flattering to deceive

Come on Derby let's have some petulant yellow cards.

Does Mclaren risk Martin against us and risk losing him for play offs?

Took Deeney 6 games to get back to full fitness after similar injury.

Wondering if Jordan Ibe is or was to Derby, what Adam Johnson was to us under hoofroyd!

Ibe is a better player imho, Johnson always hit it too early :dismay:

Their decline started the moment Ibe left so quite possibly

Starting to show how good our point was there a fortnight ago.

I was thinking that as well + Leeds have done well since our win there

Were at the moment a really good side. I dont think Derby are hence the results.

Sako just beat half the Derby team then with the goal at his mercy blasted over. Derby look shell-shocked.

They look like a broken team. It's a shame the IB is going to give them a chance to regroup a bit, because if we played them on Tuesday I think we'd tear them apart. They're playing with very visible fear.

Derby could even drop out of the playoffs and I hope we have a hand in that!!

We could do Derby a big favour tomorrow.

Sako's recsinded red definitely helped us tonight!

Brilliant first result of the weekend from our perspective.

If you're a Derby supporter what on Earth do you want from our game against Ipswich. Like you say, it's inconceivable that they want us to win as that makes automatic potentially very tough. Equally they could drop out of the playoffs with an Ipswich win. Draw it is then.

With the form they're currently in, it's about holding on to what they have.

Any sane Derby fan would be hoping for an Ipswich loss.

  23. Roger Irrelevant

I think they've got to want us to win tomorrow.
I'd guess they'd take a play off place now.

The referee should have been sent off. Clearly denied a goalscoring opportunity for Derby. Lolz:jumping1:

We've not secured play offs yet. I'd have preferred a draw tonight. It isn't over 'till it's over

Hope Derby are as poor defensively when we play them.

TBF They had more chances but simply collapsed once Wolves went in front.

I don't think it makes much difference how we do against Ipswich as far as Derby are concerned because as things stand the gap between them and 7th place has already been cut to 2 points.

The only positive for them is if we and Boro lose tomorrow (and preferably Brentford lose), as they'll still be 5 points short of the autos, and I still wouldn't rule them out if Boro don't win and we do (6 points is still doable with the fixtures they have left, 8 would be a near impossibility even with us still to play).

I'll go for C as the right answer.

Hope the squad aren't thinking like that. No room for anything other than positive thinking right now.

Playoffs are always just a 4/1 long shot. Automatics or bust.

Wouldn't you love to be playing Derby next Tuesday night, rather than them having 14 days between fixtures?!!

Psychology is a strange thing. Having 2 weeks to dwell on how they have stuffed up automatic promotion may make them even more timid against us.

It does give them time to sort out their injuries so overall I think the sooner we play them the better. It's certainly better to play them now than it would have been a few weeks ago!

Either way, what are you going to do. We play them when we play them is all.

Shouldn't matter when we play them. We're good enough.

The only downside to waiting - their players improve their fitness - applies to us too. They're going into two weeks on a massive downer with pressure building. I say let them dwell on that for a fortnight. It can't do them any good. Important we don't lose too though today.
