Not a chance. There is more chance of Deeney eating salads for a year.

I reckon the nutritionists have to hide all the fruit and veg in cakes and burgers etc to get him to eat it.

I have hope though God knows why, as i just can't see it. The players would need to show a level of belief, desire & fighting spirit thats been virtually absent since the Leicester game.

I fully expect a rerun of our last important survival game against spam. Injured Deeney isolated up front on his own, welbeck if he starts shunted out to the wing, 3 defensive midfielders & the whole team looking petrified & fragile. We will show some fight in the 2nd half by which point we will already be 2 or 3 goals down.

    Definitely won’t.

I said we were in trouble after we got mauled by Brighton on home turf on the opening day. A far cry from the comfortable display a year prior.

This season has been bleak from the get-go, and nothing is going to change going to the Emirates on Sunday.

Additionally, the one thing we couldn’t afford yesterday was to slip behind from a goal difference perspective.

The lack of resilience in this squad has contributed -12 to our -27 facing Manchester City alone.

We don’t just have to match Villa. We have to better them.

The whole season has been a shambles.
I am not even hopeful as this ragtag bunch could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

  10. Unfortunately with Giraldi telling Mullins what side to pick... not a ******* chance

It's quite clearly over. I actually think West Ham will beat Villa, but it won't matter as Arsenal will sweep our spineless cloggers aside 3-0.

Arsenal will try harder against us, than they did against Villa. The cajones comment still wrangles.

They won’t have to try very hard to beat our shameless rabble. Just turning up will be enough against such a spineless, passionless mess of a team.

The Villa result last night was a disaster not only in terms of them picking up points and going above us, but because of how it will affect Arsenal's mindset and approach on the final day.

Had Arsenal won last night I would have given us a chance of maybe scraping a point. Instead they're going to be refocused and keen to put things right with a win going into the Cup final.

The more I think about it the more I'm looking forward to a season (or 20) in the Championship. That takes nothing away from how furious I am with what a disgrace this season has been and how badly we've blown it, but for better or worse it will bring about something of a fresh start, and as a fan I am desperate for that.

Disclaimer: this will soon be wiped out on the first day of the Championship when our shambolic line up inevitably features Deeney, Gray, Cleverley, Mariappa and Cathcart.

You are going to be raging when those cnuts get stuffed at home first game back. The Vic is going to be a pretty toxic place to be.

The worst thing that could happen to Watford right now is if we stay up. A fire needs to sweep through the place.

Arsenal seem to be a different team at home and don't think we will get near s win.

Good to see we're all feeling so positive!

    There's still hope.

But I reckon we're probably going down.

FFS Arsenal will be playing the reserves they won't want to risk injury to any of their stars SIX days before the cup final, that alone should give us a chance of at least a draw and possibly a win.

West Ham will beat Villa and even if Muff beat Everton which is by no means a given, a point will see us home.

SO COME ON GUYS LETS HAVE SOME FAITH

We all thought the same about City, they played us 2 days later and put out an even stronger team than the weekend against arsenal.

Arsenal will go full strength. 6 days rest until the Cup final. Plenty of time to recover. No chance they do us a favour like they did Villa.

Oh please there’s not a hope in hell of us staying up, can’t believe that as many as 3 think it’s even remotely possible. I’m just hoping L*ton get stuffed by Blackburn.

  24. The only hope we have of staying up is Giraldi falls down the stairs and dies, the French bloke gets run over by a bus and dies, the other muppet falls down a well and dies, Gino goes into hospital with covid 19 and dies, Deeney chokes on a Big Mac and dies, and Mullins is free to pick his team his way

    I guess we going down

This reminded me of that animated movie The Croods. The dad’s stories always end with death.

TBH Mullins wouldn’t then be picking the team, he would be too busy with the funeral arrangements!

If Deeney is played as a lone striker no.

We just have to go 4-2-4 IMO.
