Perhaps Boothroyd for once didn't try to tell them that we can stay up ? ;)

Tactically, Boothroyd had it spot on today. The formation was so much more fluid and dynamic. I think there are still a few selection issues to be resolved (Mahon), but the shape of the side today looked so much more effective and balanced. It definitely lent itself to better, flowing football.

Well if a player cannot be up for a game live on Sky against one of the top sides in Europe with a FA Cup semi around the corner they should not be a professional...

Thought Chambers/Stewart were excellent .. I've even stopped counting Robbos to get to sleep at night.

i dont think its any of them but i still voted any way i belive its to do with pride now the players know we are down us the fans know we are down the whole country knows we are going down so what else have the players got to play for part from being in the team for the fa cup ?

Strongly disagree that he had it right tactically.

Up until the Henderson substitution then yes i would agree.

The Hendo change cost us the game!

Always though a 4-3-3 would suit us but I think if we had bouazza on he would have been really effective

we did that towards the end, it didnt help.

we often do it or 4-5-1with winger pushing up ie. palace sem final (although more of a 4-5-1.)

    berkshirehorn presumably I upset/disappointed someone

how was playing smith on the left wing tactically smart. he played well but always looked to favour his right foot.

I wasn't sure why Aidy subbed Henderson, I didn't think he looked incredibly tired, and by bringing Priskin on it wasn't a like for like replacement. Tamas can't be the same sort of target man that Darius is, he just doesn't play like that.

It's a shame that after he brought Priskin and Bouazza on, we started to launch the ball forward again, thereby putting our defence under more pressure because Chelsea were able to deal with that type of play. I thought Priskin did ok, tried to close down from the front, but as you say, he isn't a target man.

As for the poll, I'd hope it is because the players want to be part of our promotion push for next season. Though obviously playing the current champions and an F.A Cup semi final place is what it is about for proffesional players at a club of our size and probably had a bigger impact
