Seriously, the guy is deluded. The biggest blow to his ego would be if people just ignored him and got on with supporting our team.

I particularly like the bit about "24 hour protection" which when you read it actually was less than 24 hours of protection on a single match day and probably consisted of a steward standing next to him for 5 hours

A threat to his life? From Watford fan? Riiight. Think the local old bill spent too much time reading forums. :forehead:

Lets just show him how to play football on the pitch eh, with a 3-0 wolloping.

Brendan's memory has forgotten or clouded the facts.

It wasn't that he left - it was the graceless manner that he did so.

"Comments he made miscontrued by the press?'" - it is on tape and record that he said he wasn't going to go and he had had no approach from Reading.

All tosh. Like his end of season parade around the pitch

"Key people within Watford saying he couldn't pass up the opportunity (to go to Reading) ?

Er, who? The Russos? Er, no.

    A ballboy maybe?

I think the Admin of this site had it right when he said booing is for the panto.

Rodgers' return is the exact reason I'm NOT gong on Tuesday. I couldnt stand to be around all the morons booing and swearing at him, when in actual fact they should just be getting behind our players.

Rodgers is gone, its done, get over it

double agreed. However, lately the team have been giving their all from the start and i think its more likely that the focus will be on them and the possible early goal we score......

i always think booing is stupid...in any situation its surely the dumbest noise you can make. course if someone starts a comically insulting chant i have no problem lol.

not going because some people may boo seems to be slighty oxymoronic in saying rodgers issue is over and to get on with it.

TO be honest, I actually have to think who the bloke is nowadays. He wants people to remember him because it take away the talk of his shocking record at Reading and the fact that a team in swansea who were heading to be be one of the best in the league are now a mid table side, despite spending money.

Rodgers, or whoever, all I will be worried about is the 3 points on Tuesday and it is key, fans focus on getting behind the team and not the bloke who will soon be back on the dole

The reason im going to the game, is not for the swearing, but the atmosphere if we do win. I don't usually go to tuesday nights.

I will also just be hoping for a win and a goal at the rookery end but if everyone starts singing at him at the final whistle, I will also cause the final whistle would have already gone and it doesn't really matter.

You can see it now. We'll go 1 or 2 up, the Rookery will start singing "Rogers what's the score?" and Swansea will bang 3 in.

He'll probably be glad the East stand is closed but I doubt the abuse will be anything like it was at Reading.

    An amazing job that.

Probably more pertinent was just how he managed to keep a squad featuring the likes of Tommy Smith, Tamas Priskin, Rasiak etc etc half way down the table the sad twerp.

    Boo the b'stard.

I agree. I hate it when we're in front and start singing "2-0 to the Golden Boys, 2-0..." or whatever cos of the number of times we chuck it all away. I remember away to Swansea two years ago, Malky had his first game as caretaker, and Williamson made it 1-0. Barely seconds later, as the away following had just begun to sing "1-0 to the Golden Boys" we conceded through a Richard Lee error. How frustrating.

I went to Reading last year to give him some stick and the matter is now over and done. Rodgers is in the past and is now total irrelevance.

On Tuesday I will ignore him and cheer on Malky and the team, as they are the present and our future.

How many of us had a good word to say about JE not so long ago and he is now turning into a legend.

    Move on.

Rodgers 'Ready To Front Up to Watford Hate Mob'!!!

Get a load of this interview from 'Mr Integrity' in todays 'Wales On Sunday' Newspaper :-
    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...tford-hate-mob-91466-27342383/?#ixzz10cUMXylb

Things that stick out for me :-

He now admits he should not have left the Club.

'Key people within the club advising him he could not pass up the opportunity' - sorry don't believe him. How can that be the case when he should not have known about the opportunity in the first place as our Chairman turned down approaches from Reading twice! The only 'key people' he can possibly mean if there is any semblance of truth in this must have been Frank Lampard Snr or Dean Ashton!

He needed a 24 hour bodyguard when we played Reading as a threat had been made on his life - Really?!!

Comments by him in the press were misconstrued - Don't think so. I am sure the Watford Observer can vouch for that. He never asked for any retraction on his comments made at the time.

I really hope all the fans get to Tuesdays game to give Rodgers the hostile reception he truly deserves but then we should forget him and channel all our vocal support instead, solely on supporting our team give a decent Swansea City team a real thumping.

Have any of you actually thought that a bit of abuse to Rodgers is a great way to add to the atmosphere? Yes there is always a risk it can come back and bite you, but its all good light hearted fun. I have no time for Rodgers he is a Canut and I love the thought of kicking him when he is down. I have the feeling he wasn't liked by many at the club. John Eustace for one would surely love to show him how wrong he was. Any how, the result is the main thing but I don't see how abusing Todgers is a bad thing.

I suppose it's possible that the Russo's started to persuade him to go when they realised the amount of compensation they would get for him.

Why label them gay? Surely that isn't a very nice thing to read if you are? Or is it ok to be homophobic on here? I think you should have chosen another word to describe them and I'm a bit suprised at the Admin for leaving it on here.

An inform free scoring watford vs unpopular ex manager and a swansea team that has lost all its away games in the league so far. Sounds like its a forgone conclusion.. swansea win.

This for me was dealt with at Reading last year, it would be far more productive to show Rodgers how much we're behind Malky rather than give him the satisfaction of him believing he is still being thought of at The Vic!!!

Spot on, it's football, abuse to ex players/managers happens, no matter how high and mighty people get about it. He's a complete c**t and always will be, i plan on telling him so come Tuesday night.
