Only because you get all the attention on twitter.

I'd think he'd be on a 3 year deal tbh, call it a hunch. And no, I'm not ITK.

I like this thread as it's the complete opposite from the eternal optimism threads that were circulated regarding our squad for the 2013/14 season we're we all confident that we would **** this league.
Glad there is more realism this time around.

Don't ignore the optimistic undertones. We've been humbled this season, and that will serve next season's arrogance when we are a good team again.

The perfect response. Thread can be closed now.

Totally agree, although now I'm hoping the pendulum has swung too far the other way and that the 'doom and gloom' merchants are going to be proven overly pessimistic next season!

We should be worried. The top scorer is leaving, the manager can't speak English and wtf happens when all the loanees go back ???

A few more to add to the list:

    Forestieri's going back to Italy.
    Ranegie's off to Villa.
Anya will be at the centre of a bidding war between Celtic and St Pauli.
Diakite will be signed on a permanent deal.

Don't ask me for any evidence or logic behind these claims by the way, they're just gut feelings I have that are definitely going to happen.

Everyone knows you can't argue with gut feelings, so I am now very concerned indeed.

Every season will end like this. If we were successful we'd be under threat of our players being pinched. We have enough talent to base a team on and shouldn't be writing off the likes of Doyley just yet.

Do you think the Burnley fans were having a similar discussion on their forum last year?

I don't know why some of you lot are moaning. Many of you gave up on the season last Autumn, didn't want promotion and always thought we wouldn't reach the top six.

You got what you wanted. Celebrate!

With a hidden timeline for promotion well and truly reset, this summer will hopefully not raise our expectations and we will just enjoy the ride.

Good things are best enjoyed when least expected.

When you're on a great run and you think you're unstoppable, maybe it's a good time to stand back and remind yourselves maybe you're not quite as good as it seems, and football has a habit of kicking you in the teeth, maybe when you least expect it.

I've always believed the same is true in reverse when you're on a bad run.

Things haven't been great the last three matches, but is it the end of our footballing world? No, probably not. A win on Saturday to send us into the summer break smiling, and a solid summer of transfer dealings, and maybe it's not so bad. Maybe you have to have a few shi-tty low points to be able to start rising up again.

You know my concerns anyway. For me, the job of the manager/head coach, like in any walk of life, is to inspire and to get the best out of the workforce that's put in front of him. I refuse to believe that a squad that does contain some very fine players (despite our opinions on some of them today) is incapable of performing better than we've seen over the last few matches.

  16. Can't say I'm not worried about any of that

Fessi, Batty and Pudil love us, we have Anya, Abdi, Murray, Hoban and fingers crossed Tozser. Core of a good side there with some cahones. Deeney will stay or go, there's an upside either way.

Everyone else can stay or do one, (Angella aside) I am not fussed in the slightest after this season. Our club existed before this current squad and it will exist after.

It's existed with far sh**ter squads as well. No reason to be worried at all.

Chelsea have just shown how disastrous it is when the loanees DON'T go back.

    If:

    a) Abdi stays
    b) Abdi stays fit for most of our matches

we will do very well indeed, regardless of the rest of the squad.
