Why is cardiff away always a midweek fixture?

Correct me if I am wrong Cardiff away has always been a midweek evening kick off for at least the past 5 reasons. Is there a reason behind this or purely coincidental?

Last season it was a bank holiday monday fixture.

Annoying that bristol away is never a saturday 3pm kick off.

When we lost 4-2 couple of seasons ago it was a Saturday in January but you are right...we seem to play in the South West/Wales mainly on Tuesdays.

they don't haver passport control at weekends due to cut backs and lack of funding - so they endeavour to have as many football matches on a weekday. A legacy from Tony Blairs regime - i wonder if he and Jimbob are mates.

Same with Bristol City, this year it's on Boxing Day, pointless.

Sheffield Wednesday away is also annoyingly a mid-week fixture, was hoping to go up on a weekend to visit a mate while at the same time going to the match, not sure if I'll be able to now.

Blackpool away is on my birthday weekend which will be nice.

Just thought I'd try and change the mood...
