He's not by far the worst diver in the league.

He's certainly no angel, but because he's got the holy grail of being English and playing for Man Utd, it gets blown out of proportion.

Ings dives. Barkley dives. Gerrard dived.

Januzaj was far worse than Young and got half the attention.

Loved his superb goal at QPR approximately 15 seconds after they hit bar. He's alrite by me certainly a polite ripple is justified.

He'll be warmly welcomed by me pre match. He was, let us say, a little theatrical with his topples in and around the box, but definitely no worse than Ronaldo when he was at Man U. Some of his performances when he played for Watford were absolutely superb.

That game at Luton, he was incredibly hard done by - he'd been cut in half on the half way line, as he went down, his leg came up due to the force of the tackle and the ref' sent him off for that.

I do agree that the authorities need to stamp diving out of the game, but when the referee's decide to let play continue, just because a player stays on his feet after being fouled - that just isn't going to happen - I'm sure a lot of league managers instruct their players that if they get touched in the box to hit the deck.

I will always appreciate what he did for our club, including being sold to Villa - that money got us out of a hole we may not of otherwise been able to scramble out of.

Mind, as soon as the game starts, he's fair game, like all the rest of the United team.

He'll get my applause, one of our greatest youth products and played a massive part in getting us promoted, before bagging us a shedload of cash

In what world are guided by the ramblings of Roy Keane?

Applause before the match, maybe even after the match, and "you used to play for a big team", during the match.

I may or may not clap Ashley Young. But it'll invariably mean nothing and we'll all eventually die, regardless.

Pivitol in promotion season, class player and the added money when he moved to Utd played for England saved the club when we were insevere trouble. Some players like Mike Williamson deserve boiing let alone booing Young is a watford lad who done good for us.

Out of interest, what are the odds of Ash ever playing for us again? Before he's old & useless. Pre-Pozzo it would've been zero, but now...

Next to no chance. He's just recently turned 30, I don't know how long he has left on his Man U contract but I guess it's probably until the summer of 2017 at least. By then he may have a couple of years left in the Premier League (or go to the US) but I imagine that his wage demands would still be out of our reach.

He'd struggle to get in our first team now, never mind in 2017. Talented enough, but never a top Man U player. Has made a serious amount of money out of being in the right place at the right time; has never reproduced the form he briefly showed at Villa under O'Neill, now Keane's boss, coincidentally.

Hang on a minute. We never played them in the league at Old Trafford until '83.

So how would you know what the segregation was like there for league games pre and post 79?

I remember we were all upset about a star winger, who's name escapes me, leaving us for QPR I think; but I said at the time, possibly on this forum? That we need not worry as we had an even better one coming through to replace him from our youth team, and that was Ashley Young!

I will applaud him before the game, as he was a great player for us, and as others have said, the money we made from selling him to Villa, possibly kept our club alive at the time.

He may have lost his way over the years, by becoming a notorious diver, but as long as he does not do that against us on Saturday, I will probably applaud him after the game too!
