I agree, and if not, I'm sure any club at lower Chapionship or upper League 1 level would shell out well over £1m for someone who has scored 12 goals and probably has one of the highest goals per minutes ratio in this League.

FWIW, Dennis has a better minutes per goal ratio than Raj in the Championship, albeit with a small sample size. Rajovic has been good at taking chances when he's got in good positions, but Bayo and Dennis have scored and created goals that Rajovic simply doesn't have in his locker. Not sure he'd get enough chances to be prolific at a lower Championship team, and not sure he'd offer enough for a team with ambitions of promotion, although he has at times shown some improvement in his overall game

One would expect Dennis to have a higher ratio to reflect his plus £10m valuation.

He's a poacher that's it, doesn't offer the team anything else. Was mote productive yesterday but still nowhere near enough.

I totally agree he offers nothing else but 12 goals this season is pretty good considering where he came from. Don't get me wrong, I think he's dreadful but you can't teach scoring goals, you can practice and work on other areas of the game but to have an ability to score on a regular basis is something every club in the world wants and is something you're born with. I've heard a few strikers say this in the past, Lineker was one

I can’t remember Lewis cross from the byline yesterday except the cross which Raj scored from, had Raj had some more decent crosses he might have more than 12 goals to his name.

Not bad for someone that up to yesterday looked hopeless outside the box!

We need players in nearly every position to be honest.

Goalkeeper - A young, future number 1 but good enough to push now is essential.

Andrews is raw and needs competition, Ngakia is not that so we need a right back good enough to start.

Hoedt will probably go but needs a partner.

    Need to replace Livermore.

    Need to replace Asprilla.

Need to replace Dennis, can’t go into the season with Bayovic.

Need a LW, Sema & Chakve isn’t strong enough with the former breaking down a lot recently.

It’s pretty poor that Pozzo has let the squad get in this state. Need double digit numbers through the door to be honest.

For a club who infamously took half of the city of Udine on loan all those years ago, we haven't had a good record with loanees in recent years! Only 1 of our 6 loanees last season could be considered a success, this season we haven't even filled our matchday quota, Dennis and Chak* have been qualified successes so far, Martins started off well but fell off and Lewis has been pretty mediocre overall, it's definitely an area we should look to improve if we want to be in any way competitive next season

Why?! Bachmann and Hamer will both probably be here next season and both are good enough to be number 1 and push the other. Another backup GK won't be needed until Hamer leaves/retires. Don't know if Roberts is up to it or not.

    Agree.

I'd have agreed with this a few games ago but Porteous has suddenly been good since Cleverley came in. Curious how he'll do until the end of the season. I really hope we keep hold of Hoedt.

    Yes.

Yeah, maybe we can also replace Dennis with Dennis?!

Yes, Chak is better in CM and Sema's fitness is a concern. Martins will also be leaving surely

I count 7 players from what you listed - is that double digits? You did forget to add we'll need a LB to replace Lewis.

Asprilla is our only real saleable asset that will bring in good money, Kone isnt where he needs to be to be of any real value. Andrews possibly might bring some interest but that wont be a lot at the moment. No idea whose contracts are running out. If we carry on as we have done under him so far I hope Clevs stays in charge. TDB might bring in some interest too but not Prem money yet.

To be honest I cant see many going but obviously that all depends on the state of our finances and that may be influenced by Spanish prosecutors if Spazzo needs to find some quick money. Dream scenario for me would be administration, Elton buys the club for **** all as he wont let the club disappear, steadys the ship and then sells on, willing to take a season or two in league one if it means the back of Spazzo. Death is the only way to live.

Surely we have to give Forde a chance next year. Had had some good spells in L1 this year, the forward line is not well stocked. Surely he is one of our 4 strikers for next season?

Isn't the Spanish tax issue potentially a big problem, in that if he had a big fine to settle, Pozzo would sell Vicarage Road to pay back his owner debts and settle his fine? Obviously depending on if Pozzo has other funds liquid enough to settle such an eventuality.

Speaking of which - nothing for 4 months on that "new" tax issue, so complete nonsense or is Spanish law just slow moving?

Wingers are the biggest question mark depending on who the manager is next season and what system we'll be using. None of ours this season have been very good or reliable, which I suppose is maybe a reason why Clevs has ditched them to go 532.

Sema can't stay fit. Chak is even more wasteful on the wing and much better in CM. Martins has to go. Asprilla will probably leave but is also better as a 10. Ince is terrible. If we do have a manager who wants to play with wingers we'll need to sign at least 2 or 3 players to cover both sides. That's one area where a player like Dennis who can play as a winger and also be competition at CF for Bayovic is handy.

LB will be essential with Lewis probably leaving.
    A Livermore replacement is essential.
I agree that Andrews need genuine competition - not Ngakia, who is a waste of space and should be sold.
2 or 3 wingers depending on the system used. If not using wingers, or not every week, then at least one of those players being similar to Asprilla in being a goal threat from both the wing and attacking central midfield would be good.
Another striker as competition for Bayovic should also be brought in; as per above maybe one who can also cover on the wing (or ACM) depending on how much room we have to bring players in and the system we'll use. We will have Doumbia coming in, but he'll probably need time before being able to contribute significantly.

I make that about 6 signings minimum being needed, before considering we'd need to replace any players sold like Asprilla (but hopefully not having to replace Hoedt). If we were to go 3 at the back then maybe an additional CB, but otherwise a CB upgrade while nice to have will I doubt be a priority.

He only really plays as a striker in a 2 alongside a more traditional target-man. Otherwise he's mostly a RW.

That versatility could make him a handy squad option, but I'm not yet convinced by him, and neither are Orient fans. He seems an alright finisher but seems to offer very little else both on and off the ball. He could improve, but he'll need to be assessed in the summer. Regardless I reckon he's someone who next season should be used at most as sparingly as Tom Ince has been in the latter part of this season.

No idea but serious charges like those dont just simply disappear. Prosecutor wanted a conviction I thought was reported at the time. Fit and proper owner rules, or whatever they are called, might be called into play I think from the brief read I had of them. Something about not being able to be a director of a company but obviously he would be convicted in the EU and not UK so not sure what happens. Maybe another member of the family would be clear to takeover.

Your "dream scenario" involving administration and a potential dropping in to league one for a season or two is indeed mock-worthy. Unless your dreams are generally masochistic in nature.

Why wouldn't you just dream of being bought out by a billionaire who is able to take us to to the PL in a season or two instead, for instance?!

It's odd and telling that you could wish up anything and you choose for it to be bad things happening followed by mediocrity.

Do you really want to go down the mock worthy post route with me? I mean, you, of all people, calling somebody elses post mock worthy, get the fvck out of here.

So who do you "dream" buys the club once we've spent a glorious and dreamy season or two in the promised land of League One after Elton John "sells on" if not a billionaire?! Just another piddly millionaire who like the Pozzos will also hardly be able to invest anything?!

Yes your post is evidently mock-worthy.

Well then why not post that instead?

The original post above which outlined your supposed "dream scenario" (your words) didn't say that. It would be more enjoyable and less mock-worthy a dream than fricking administration ffs.

I see absolutely no point in calling it the G word for the P word now, guys a total scumbag. Spazzo is too good a word though, if you have any puntastic words I could use then feel free to share them. Poozo or Bozzo dont seem harsh enough for it though. It out just sounds weird too. Maybe I could go full parody and call him Dear Leader?

You have some odd dreams if administration is one of them. You do realise that a lot of people will lose their jobs if that happened. Elton will not buy the club, that ship has well and truly sailed now. This part that is highlighted is just very strange for a supporter of the club

Unless Hamer retires I would be surprised if we sign another keeper. Him and Bachmann have their faults but there are positions that require more urgent attention than that
Back up right back for Andrews. Did Ngakia sign a new deal as remember it being mentioned but not being confirmed anywhere. If he didn't then yes I think we need a new RB, if he did sign I doubt we would look for a third RB even if you can never have enough RB's
    Left back we will need
If playing 3 centre backs then we need one more
Providing we don't play wingers then Chak, Kayembe, TDB, Sema, maybe Livermore as back up and Kone is decent for midfield. We still have Louza as well but if he leaves then look for Premier League loanee
Up front we have Bayo and Raj. Maybe Forde can come in but will definitely need another one if Asprilla goes which I'm not convinced he will. Dennis return would be ideal and if he did and we keep Asprilla then it's all good
Depending who goes, stays, returns we would need somewhere between 2 and 5 signings to remain competitive

I am "afflicted" myself, see the you are not alone thread for reference, so see it as akin to black americans using the n word. The same way people use the c word they use the n word in both a derogatory and complimentary way.
