I bet on anything and everything but to ask what to bet on, I am totally bamboozled

What session will the first test match end in on the final day ( starts midnight tonight) Aussies v england.

Problem is not much time and not fair on people who haven't/won't get a chance to flutter.

I would like to make a suggestion if you don't mind.

As it is for fun - could there be a daily flutter where we can place some vcash on. The method behind the madness ( is to make more work for you of course, only joking) is that it would give people a little interest each day and hopefully many will log on to have a daily flutter and browse and maybe find time to post a thread in the morning or reply to one thus creating more debate and info.

The daily flutter could be a simple maximum 50 points at evens and a simpe choice between two answers of something that will happen later that day. It can be as simple as will the stock market ftse be up or down. Or take two names of horses or any sporting event, which ever does better wins. That could include golf torno's tennis etc etc etc. If it is possible and not time consuming you could expand it from a choice of two to say 4 or 5 items to bet on the one daily flutter.

I see the v cash as a challenge amongst fellow users. Bragging rights won fairly and honestly.

V-bookie events are time consuming to put up and maintain. I was aiming for about 3-4 a week maximum. The stock market one is a good idea though. At another forum I was in charge of making the v-bookie events, and I found that after a while everyone wanted variety all the time. I did it for a year then ran out of original ideas so gave it up when the popularity dropped. I don't see that being so much of a problem here though.

If you ever want to run a competition of your own, not a v-bookie event, but a quiz, a guess the xxxxx, anything you can think of I can always donate v-cash to the winner. The v-shop mod makes things easier because you can donate money to each other, but thats a way off yet.

I'll try to get as many varied events up with time for people to bet on them, but maybe it's time for me to find a dedicated V-Bookie. Let me work on that.

2 weeks to 3 weeks

etc etc... based on your own analysis of registrations you ccould give varying odds.

It may also provoke people into promoting the site.

the word is spreading, i today told two ex MB users to at least come and have a browse and see what they think. I reckon they will both join and they are nice people and very good fans of the club.

The only trouble with that sort of bet is that the nearer it gets to payout time the more admin it needs, but I get the idea.

 

Can you apply for some lotery cash?

or small enterprise scheme grant to help set tthe forum up so you could have a couple of full time employees to assist and help run the show - would be nice Mr Blair handing out £10k or so
