did we even come close to giving them half a game? no pace passion or pride? did you agree with bangura being dropped in stead of gavin mahon? aswell as smith being left out although he has played well recently?? also give you ratings if you wish
williamson was good in the first half but then come off at half time (mmust have been injured) hhoskins was ok but didnt look sharp and failed to anticipate any of hendo's flick ons. but they wernt the only ones not to play well
I agree with the changes, however it was a disapointing performance williamson played well showing signs of being a great player, but was taken off at half time (injury?) Hoskins played alright by the sounds of it.
the only good thing to come from today was that all our nearest rivals lost villa 1 v 0 west ham charlton 0 v 1 chelsea although wigan won to cut the bottom 3 off by 5 points and us by 10
The worst performance so far this season The title of the thread says it all, no passion shown from most of the players. What a waste of a Saturday!
hoskins was Sh*t!!!!!!!! williamson played well, got a good first touch and a bit of creativity on him!
They didn't contest the ball, they didn't anticipate.... and the worse thing of all was that Bolton were not very good.
We just didn`t impose ourselves on Bolton today (see stats below) - it shouldn`t have been too many team changes that caused it- perhaps it will take time for the new players to gel - trouble is we don`t have it. I feel sorry for all these new guys who have chase endless long balls and played out of position. Hoskins and Williamson probably played more football for Rotherham!
This out-of-position thing is something that puzzles me. Why doesn't Aidy play players in the positions they're used to? Examples: Hoskins - Okay, he's been played up front, but he seems to be instructed to fall back into the midfield every time we lose the ball. Why? If we want to play 4-4-2 effectively with a target man (Hendo), we need the other striker up there as well when we win the ball. Didn't see the game today, but did he play right winger when Kabba came on? Sounds horrible to me, he's a _goal scorer_ so he needs to get into _goal scoring positions_ ... not at the side-line. Mariappa (vs Man U) - Hasn't he played like 2 seasons as a center back in the reserves? With Shittu, Carlisle, Mackay out (and Mahon), why not play Mariappa in central defense with DeMerit? Doyley (vs Man U) - Again, he's a right full back, why not play him there? Powell (vs Man U) - Central midfield, wtf? Williamson - Why do we play him as a right winger, why!?
