I'm worried you have to ask that question. I'm sure even in the late 1700's when you were young they had gambling,Altough highly illegal. It's a form of entertainment for people to use as a way to relax. Some people like to watch telly, some like to eat, some like to smoke, some like to drink and some like to gamble. We all have our ways. I would love you to join us all for a game of poker some time to see what harmless fun it is.
Well I ask the question as irrespective of what game your playing surely you dont want to lose every time. Which is what you suggested. If you gamble at the casino and lose all the time then the amount of visits will be limited due to lack of finances and the enjoyment diminished very early on. Or of course you could just keep gambling away until you have lost job, house, wife, family and freinds and then realise you are a complete addict with no finances left. I was commenting on your statement that all those that play on this site will eventually lose all their orns. If thats the case whats the point? :doh:
When the grandchildren come round why don't you take out a pack of cards and a pot of pennies and play cards with them for a couple of hours? It's great for family bonding and for learning how to win and lose in a safe environment. Much the same as this place. Gambling is for mugs and it's better for kids to learn that with pennies or 'orns.
For me, thats what its all and only about - to play. Aren't humans meant to be playing? I agree with you fully, that gambling isn't good for the majority of people. A flutter here and there, going horse racing as a day out event, even popping into a casino once a year for a bit of high life. Having a quid on the Grand National, Derby etc just to play and be in. The lottery ( the most stupid gamble of all IMO at the odds one is given), Bingo with all the old codgers doing their pension dosh thus some go with out heating or food, but they are still encouraged to go, which I think is morally wrong. Still, a far more pressing issue is under age boozing and boozing in general, which is far more anti social and unacceptable IMO than having a little flutter. A hooked gambler is a sickness, like a drunk or a junkie or eating disorder who all will need medical/mental help. In general though, the worlds % of hooked gamblers is probably, ?% I'd rather flutter my life away in a casino, playing only the texas hold em tournaments, than be in a pub for the same amount of time pishing the booze up against the wall with nothing to gain bar an heavy hangover the next day with no chance of wining the money spent back. The art to gambling is to find the best value, if there is no value in the bet - then it isn't worth betting and this is one of the things that people do not generally adhere to. OAP - I bet you 55?

Would try updating your flash or java. Don't see why javascripting would be turned off but maybe admin can help you out a bit more.
Searched the problem and the soution seems to be updating to Vbulliten 3.7 or something!?l Updating Java now just incase, never had a problem with anything else though!
