Am i the only one who feels like this could potentially cause a problem? There have already been issues with topics posted to it in the past, that have caused a bit of an uproar, but today with the thread about troy going up it seems to have sparked some kind of explosion on twitter. We have no solid basis for any of this, yet on twitter it looked very much like we had said troy is out of jail and caused a big reaction on twitter. I feel this is something the forum needs to look at, as creating that kind of reaction is not what we should be aiming to do. What happens if at some point someone makes a libellous thread on the site (it will happen again, it has done in the past) and it gets selected and thrown up on there. Im sure that it is probably all done by script, so there is very little moderation of this. Just thought I would post my concerns, i know other users personally who also feel the same way about this. Would be a shame to create a backlash over something so small.
People who post this sensitive information should keep it to themselves , even if it is true . Until it is made official. Very simple isn't it.
Erm, I posted about Troy Deeney myself, it wasn't picked up automatically, and whenever something ridiculous is picked up, it's deleted fairly quickly (see Moog's stupid poll for an example). I also haven't seen any backlash, well until you posted this that is. Anything with 'DISCUSS' in the tweet is picked automatically, it's done every 2 hours and picks the latest topic created, those tweets can be deleted. As for libel, it's as much a threat to being libelous as having the thread on here in the first place. People shouldn't be creating libelous threads to start with.

The only one is questionable has probably brought more clicks onto the forum than the rest put together! In seriousness, if there was ever an issue legally, or complications instigated by it, then it would go straight away.
