West Brom have agreed a fee for highly-rated Sheffield Wednesday winger Chris Brunt.
The Baggies are believed to be willing to pay £3million for the 22-year-old, who has turned down a new contract at Hillsbrough.

"Chris made it crystal clear to us that he does not want to be at Sheffield Wednesday," Owls chief executive Kaven Walker told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"The manager won't get all of the money that we receive for Brunt, but he will be able to spend some of it and we're currently in talks with a couple of midfielders."

3 million is a fair wack when he is probably not better than Smith or Jobi.

at a million he was worth going for at 3 never.

The wages that would follow a £3m player are probebly 15 to 20k a week, do we want to be paying that sort of money for someone that although we know is championship standard is not proven at a higher level where we're aiming ?

The only way Brunt will come here is if Hendo forms part of the deal!!!
Do we want that??? I'd say no we keep Hendo which gives us a second attacking option, and yes this is from someone who things we abandon hoofball!!!

He's got an ego the size of Norfolk, and now has a pricetag to match.

    £3m is outrageous.

I was thinking a cool mil was stretching it.

Yet more over-hyped players crawling out from poorer teams.
