    I was there - what a game!

Barry Endean - what a star!

The atmosphere was truly electric, this was one of the best games I have seen.

The sheer joy of being a Horn.:]]

One I'd rather forget thank you very much. :)

Actually, this game proved to be a pivotal moment in Liverpools history.
It was after this match that Bill Shankly said that he knew he had to break the squad up and start again.

In came the likes of Steve Heighway, Kevin Keegan, John Toshack, Ray Clemence, Phil Neal amongst others.

The following season, the League Championship & Uefa Cup were won....so I could say we've you lot to thank for that. :)

    A truly happy Endean

I started going that year - didn't go to that one - but someone gave me the programme for it as a souvenir.

I remember, all you yellow knockers, is how excited I was to see the yellow shirts come out. True they wouldn't have gone up with a whoosh next to a naked flame then.

..and the fighting by the way. It was completely mental at times.

I was six - what are parents like eh?

Should point out that the 72 refers to the rating in '100 days that shook the Kop', not the year.

The game was played in 1970. Don't listen to the old fart saying they were all over us either, I've got the extended highlights and we were all over them!
