Could be both. So beware of the old men you stand next to at Football , or anywhere come to think of it.

Again, lovely to see the Ultras at Barnsley. Will never forgot the amount of flags, banners and flares..

And good luck to you all. At least people are making an effort rather than whining about lack of noise. I hope the club is helping you out.

cheers admin. yeah, i've got a meeting with the club next week about how they can help is and help them etc.

i can't believe the negativity everyone has on this thread, the word 'ultras' isn't meant to be associated with hooliganism, just fanatic support like singing non stop, flags banners etc.

Instead of whining and moaning, everyone get behind the team and sing, dont take the **** out of others when they try to support the team

No matter the good intentions, "Ultras" will always make the first thought of being a bunch of hooli's.

How about the Watford Youth Making Crowd Appreciation?

    Watford Give Us A W

Its not really going to be voilent if they are contacting the club about it.

Also this should be in the legendary section.

Its not just hoolies its associated with but more worryingly, the right wing.

I really cant take this thread seriously. I thought football was about spontaniety, passion, not organising yourself into groups to sing songs, wave banners, etc.

Why not organise a Watford Line Dancing Group, Cheerleading Group, Choral Group.........the list is endless when you think about it..........

    no it really shouldnt.

the problem i have with the idea of ultras is when it gets out of hand and turns on other fans. watford is a family friendly club and when we get people shouting at other fans or even as i read in the group 'using flares  ' the whole thing becomes stupid and unnecessary.

    What a stupid thread.

I can't believe this discussion is still going on. We are a FAMILY club. Not Millwall FC.

I do not want to see news about Watford hooligans attacking other fans.

I am all up for singing more, bringing banners and showing great support, but calling yourselves the 'Watford Ultras' and thus associating yourselves with fighting is utterly ridiculous and uncalled for.

    Sort it out.

I agree however I think the person that created this group does not understand what 'ultra' truly means he should consider a change of name.

so accrington stanley have "ultras", and if youve seen any of there videos, there the most unlikely people you'd ever see in a fight at a football match.

Some people just have tunnel vision.

Whether they call themselves ultras or not let's not knock them until they have given it a go. I don't really like this whole fake ultra fad in this country but if they help improve the atmosphere at games then I would say well done to them for showing some initative and doing something positive and if they upset some of our fans who just sit there and do nothing but sit there and moan, GOOD.

Please please please though ultra people, no face paint, yellow wigs or fokin clappy sticks.

TheDon still has all the leftover clappy sticks from a few seasons ago. I'm sure he can lend a few out to the Yellow Ultras.
