absolutely. If we want a bespoke kit, we'd need to go with Macron/Joma (lol)/Burrda or some other smaller manufacturer. If we're going with the big boys, it'll be a template.

 

And before people jump on board the bespoke kit bandwagon I think it's most likely the club will go with one of the big boys just to ensure demand can be met. In years gone by the Burda kits etc ran out by Christmas and weren't available again for the remainder of the season.

Why do shirts have to come from a Puma, Nike, Adidas? That's just accepting we are sheep. Plenty of companies making bespoke design sports clothing for minor sports from polo to cycling on small scale, quality gear too - much better than Puma - Nike - Adidas rubbish.

well the main thrust of this thread has beenn (a) we're going with one of the large companies and (b) boooo how dare they not bother to design a bespoke shirt for us.

For the record, I've got an Adidas Vancouver Whitecaps shirt, and (although a little on the thick side) is bloody love.

For the record, my lol after Joma was based on the horrid shirt they provided us with, they certainly seem to do some good designs, as do Macron.

My missus used to work for a small co which produced low run sports clothes, they had a lot of the contracts for polo, horse riding etc. They would design and order several thousand kits a year and each was generally bespoke with real embroidered badges. It was seriously quality stuff for not a lot more than your typical premier league plastic shirt.

 

20,000 kits is easy.

 

Surely it about exposure as well as amount of sales?

We will now be appearing on TV a hell of a lot more + as people have mentioned, across the world much more too.

 

I've got three of the Burda tops: yellow, white and purple. They're extremely well made and designed and I got them in an end of season sale (3 for a tenner or something) Which suggests that thefe was a lot left over by the end of the season.

 

Maybe only in particular sizes though.

 

Exposure? What would a connection with Watford bring to the Nike or Adidas brands?

That would be a great away kit for us, either as it is or with yellow trim instead of red; and the home kit could be the reverse Yellow shirt with black or red trim.

Rather disappointed there wont be a kit launch event. Last year's was very enjoyable.

 

A lack of a kit launch says small time to me.

Puma again and 138 again. Probably yellow again.

 

It's surprising seeing as we've been promoted, would think the club would want to make a big deal of our new premier league kit rather than keep it on the small scale.

 

The last kit launch was before the season finished. This year they're already on hollibobs and it would be silly to wait until July to release it.

 

Fair point. As they hint keep an eye on social media it seems as if it will just be more of an online event among the fans

 

Would like to see pinstripes on the kit. Adidas seem to be feeling it at the moment...

 

Yellow with red pinstripes would look horrid. As would black, I think.

A red away shirt with yellow might work though

 

Newcastle's new puma kit is horrible as well and has the horrible V neck.



If we have a puma kit like all their other one's i'll be very disappointed.
