Didn't go to villa but will be heading up to that godforsaken chithole in about an hour or so. Looking forward to seeing 2 argentian rolls royces on the pitch, and a british lada up top.

Pedro should definitely play. I would think Quina, Holebas, Kabasele will all play and probably Bachmann. After that I've no idea apart i know if you're going to this you've completely lost your mind

Basically play in either of the penalty areas.

 

Pearson has said any player with soft tissue injuries will not be playing on that pitch. This means Welbeck will not be involved tonight.

 

I think he’ll have to play some first team defenders tonight, given how out of his depth Barrett looked when he came on in the home game. We don’t have many first teamers, but we won’t play again for 9 days (assuming we’ll lose) so they’ll have time to recover. Better to use some experience than mentally scar some youngsters by putting them in too soon.

Bachmann in goal again (though I’d be happy to see Dahlberg finally play), Mapps, Kabasele, Spencer-Adams and Holebas, who needs minutes.
Obviously Quina and Dele-Bashiru in the middle but who else? Keep Chalobah, Capoue and Doucoure wrapped up in cotton wool. Maybe let Hughes build fitness if he’s ready? Otherwise I suppose Whelan will have to start. That’s a very small midfield though and I think we’d be overpowered.
Front three has to include Success and Pedro. I would say Pussetto too but he’s apparently not eligible having joined after the first tie. I’d be happy to loan Gray out in the coming days so leave him out. Welbeck would lose a leg against that lot on that pitch. Dalby or Hungbo perhaps?

I think I’m looking forward to 6.45 tonight more than I am 7.45.
