Nice to see Josh King back for his first game for Bournemouth since they managed to hold on to him. Lovely lad.
3-5-2 vs 3-5-2. Going to be won in the middle. And Cook-Lerma-Billings looks stronger and more mobile than Chalobah-Cleverley-Garner...
Disappointed that Capoue isn’t starting. Glad WTE is back in, though would have sacrificed Kabasele to make it happen. JP clearly being rested, and nice to have the option of throwing him on later, but would have preferred to rest him having seen Perica come on vs. Blackburn and having shown something to suggest he’s worthy of minutes.
An actual striker. Hmmm I would of rather Capoue started but easing him back in I guess. JP has done more than enough to start.
I can't see anything other than a convincing win for Bournemouth. Our only chance is to hang on for a draw.
Rotation was always going to happen. Prefer Wilmot to Kabasele for WTE. Surprised Capoue isn't starting though. Pedro was always going to get some rest at some point. Last few games he's cramped up in the last 5 - 10 mins and at one point that will catch up with him if he's not managed properly.
Not a surprise given the pace of fixtures to see players being rested. I can see why some people are disappointed (more on twitter than here), but to say they've been "dropped" suggests they don't really see the glaring fixture problem that may bite other teams later in the season It does mean we have a healthy bench, especially compared to the Derby game! Hopefully it won't be too late if/when they're brought on from a losing position
At least we'll have some height going forward, hopefully Sarr can feed off Perica. Dissapointed Capoue isn't starting but apart from that I think it's a decent enough team.
Billings has been utter crap whenever I’ve seen him, but this is the championship though. Good to at least see a striker start for us at least anyway.
I wouldn’t be so sure. There’s every chance Perica is completely and utterly exposed as a fraud this afternoon, leaving Ivic with no choice but to pair JP and Sarr against Wycombe.
Not confident - Muff team is strong and not sure rotating today is the right option Fancy a Kabasele red card/penalty special today
No idea what a troll is. It is just my opinion. I accept that it comes across as negative, but so what? I am not playing, l don't pick the team, nothing l say on this site will have any impact on the game. We are all just writing down an opinion . It really doesn't matter and l never give any thought to what is written on here . I know it upsets the elite members or diehards. I just think Bournemouth will have far too much pace in their play for us to cope with I always hope to be wrong. Enjoy the game
not the starting 11 i was hoping for, but i was expecting some rotation. big game for chalobah again as vlad is giving him plenty of opportunities to show what he can do. caps still being weaned into the side by the looks of it. coyh!
King and Kelly both being back is a huge boost for Muff. Kelly is prob their best defender and the only player they have defensively who can be capable of keeping up with Sarr. With no Capoue we'll lose the midfield battle as well. We have to hope King is still rusty or distracted for them, and Perica puts in a good performance for us. Noticed no Kiko in the squad, shame we don't have him as an option for the bench at least.
King Ken will know he's been in a game this afternoon. A lot will depend on how well Clevs can help out, leaving Chalobah to deny Lerma time and space and Garner to get Sarr in the game.
I'm not even upset at JP not starting, he's possibly our best player but a front 2 of Sarr and Perica is more than capable, and I'm glad to see WTE back, but Capoue on the bench worries me. Not quite ready for a full game?
Also think this is a game where Deeney could have been an asset. He's got a good scoring record against the Muff divers. Not confident
With a compressed 46 game season rotation is going to be key for both fitness and sharpness. If we can pick up results as well then we will hopefully be even stronger in the second half of the season when other teams may start to struggle with the schedule. Probably lose today though. I’ll go with 4mins 25 secs before a Bournemouth player goes down in our penalty area trying to buy a pen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I get that, hence testing JP who's played every game in the league and some minutes in the cup, but there's a huge drop in quality when Capoue is not on the pitch, surely it would have been best to play him today and rest him for Wycombe?
I'm sure they'll be absolutely terrified of him tbf, if he could do what he did against Blackburn but Kabasele doesn't have one of those games, then we've still got a chance
