    Interesting.
Otters also eat this 30% of body weight lying on their backs with food on their stomachs and have loose skin where food can be stored - just like some of our very own armchair fans.

Take a loss! Come on we are playing Norwich not Man City we are more than capable of beating them at home.

Squad/line up should be interesting, we'll get to see how many players have picked up pre-January transfer window injuries (or conveniently 'self-isolating') with return dates of 1st February 2021.

Hopefully this new bloke let's us go out and attack, I'd rather lose attacking than a dreary 2 0 defensive loss.

Start Perica, for the love of jebus, start Perica and drop Capoue.

Tough evening for someone, although most will be too plastered from the post Christmas booze to remember, nor care.

A rare snap of the Bedwetter Council was leaked yesterday, an emergency meeting was called by the council as there were concerns about the influx of new members.

Today our players will play “like wild animals” beavering away for the new boss and a morale boosting win ..

I think this game and the next 2 or 3 after this are huge. Basically it could be a car crash and there are question marks over the credibility of the head coach. Reading between the line in a recent Sema post, he was saying basically we'll wait and see with this new guy, so that's hardly a strong endorsement.

It's vital we start off with 2 or 3 good performances, and he shows he's at the level required to not only get a performance from the team, but to make good tactical decisions and team selections. Watford are not a learning school and we cannot afford for him to make too many mistakes along the way. If he doesn't turn Watford into a winning machine, pretty much from day one, the owner will reach for his gun again.......and it's at this point, if Gino fires another head coach quickly, I think fans will start really questioning the ownership to a degree never seen before.

So, it's a pretty important game for Watford at a real crossroads moment in the season, maybe even in the ownership of Gino Pozzo.

Two things have shocked me about this division this season. 1: The atrociously poor quality of opposition, and 2: Our complete and utter failure to use what we've got to trouble them.

Managing Watford should be the easiest job in the world this year. It's no wonder Sarr has been looking so miserable. Our tactics haven't included anything he's good at which most opponents wouldn't be able to live with. None of the players have been enjoying what they've been doing.

Xisco says he wants to attack and to get the players enjoying playing again, and that's all that's needed IMO. We really will piss the league if our players start going out doing what they're good at and enjoying it. I firmly believe that.

I don't blame Gino for appointing Ivic. He looked like just the personality we needed at the time. However he should have been removed a lot sooner when it was obvious he was actually nullifying the squad's ability with his stupidly cautious, totally non-threatening tactics which he had no intention of changing even when he had the players available to show a bit of ambition.

I'm going for 2-1 to us today. Norwich are a very good side in great form. It won't be easy. I'm looking forward to seeing us get better though as the players start looking forward again. No way can the rest of this season be as horrible to watch as the sterile pissballing we've been served up so far.

I hope we see more attacking threat from us but at the same time I hope it is not gung ho. You have to strike a balance between the Ivic and Ardiles styles of play. Against the Canaries we will need to counter with speed and accuracy something which we have lacked since Zola departed. Their midfield should dominate ours and it is an area of grave concern.

It probably didn't help people were watching performances stuck at home on a TV unable to really vent their anger like you can at a game and of course discussing it with your mates in the pub.

Have to say there was no real joy or entertaining watching us - in fact the games were as depressing as the lockdown situation itself!

I wouldn't be surprise if numbers watching on the Hive dropped quite a bit.

If Norwich win then any faint, lingering hope we have of somehow winning the league is gone 21 games into the season. That'll be quite some achievement.

I find myself in a morose mood regarding the remainder of the season.
The combination of Gino's failings over the last eighteen months and the unpalatable probability that there is too much player power makes another season or two in this league inevitable.

I cling onto a slim hope that the good character of some senior pros can galvanise the youngsters to some kind of come back.

The septic in me reminds myself that this is as likely as a pickled egg becoming president of the board of trade.

Utterly delusional to think we are ever going to make up a 12 point gap on a side proving themselves to be the best in the league, given our clear issues and shortcomings.

It is absolutely a must win game if we are going to have any hope whatsoever of finishing top.

The table is not looking good right now. It's amazing how quickly things can get away from you.

Even if we win today, we can't go any higher than 5th. The next two games are vital to win. Fail to do that, then there's a risk this season will slip away. Certainly a top two place will not really be a viable option, even this early on.

Also all dependent upon species of otter, environment, calorific quality of food, quantity of food, ambient temperature, season, pregnancy, and probably a load of other things I haven't thought of. Nature is a bit like football ,really, more complicated than a lot of people on this forum seem to believe.

I think we have to admit Playoffs could be our best bet. Unless Xisco gets a tune out of the so called wantaway Premiership Superstars in our squad, and we go on an incredible run of wins, it's not happening

Norwich, Muff and Reading will tussle for top two, us, Brentford, Swansea and one from three others will contend the playoff spots. Just how I read it thus far. Nothing we have seen under Ivic and the tail end of last season convinces any of us we can sustain a good run. I would loved to be proved wrong.

For me the next two games will dictate if we are in with a shout of the top two or not.

Why have you put Reading in the top two bracket and Brentford and Swansea outside it?
