Prediction time: What page number will this thread reach when we get the "Man City fan here, you lot are so deluded..." post. I'm going for page 8 Edit: here is their forum. Some of them need to learn the difference between seriousness and sarcasm. Some of them are taking our match thread way too seriously. http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/watford-a-pre-match-thread.330491/
Even Merson thinks we are going to win. He just accidentally misspelled Watford, but for someone of his IQ that's understandable. He also thought we were playing CL midweek. Not yet Merse, next season.
It's great to see them get wound up as they can't take their heads out of their asses and see it. If I ever get to that point just shoot me.
This will be an interesting one. Our resolute performances have come against teams that can only win as a unit. The whole team has to play well to get a result. Liverpool and City pose a different threat. We can be undone by 1/2 players bouncing off eachother, and this is harder to defend against as a unit. PS If we have Mariappa at CB we are doomed
http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/watford-a-pre-match-thread.330491/page-9 Well, at least one get's it.
Guardiola has a choice of formations that his players are familiar with but I think he will almost certainly flood the midfield with a 3-4-3. With a bit of luck that could play into our hands particularly as both Chabs and Doucore seem quite adept at making interceptions. Then there's the threat of Richarlison while Kiko and Carillo have largely gone under the radar. Either looks well capable but Carillo in particular came so close on Saturday with an incredible strike that surely the next one is in. Pereya and Zarate a half each (if they're fit enough) as deep lying strikers should be enough to keep Stones and Co from marauding too far up the pitch. Of course City will score and probably more than one but with luck on our side we can match them.
Lol. You won't be saying that when we're wiping the floor with your lot on Saturday.... ....Are these guys for real? They've all come down with a touch of the Jon Snows. I imagine their biggest concern after football is that winter is coming.
Er... harumph... I humbly concede you and Clive have a point about the particularly repulsive background to the City owners. Far too much of the Western World is on its knees with its mouth open as regards that lot. But can I widen the discussion a bit? If you want to shoot at dodgy owners there is a wide target: I don't suppose you get to be worth 2 or 3 billion in Putin's Russia by working 9 to 5 in a benefits office. Man U's owners (Borrow shed loads of money to buy Utd and then put that debt onto Utd's books - how does that work?). Bournemouth's owner?. Cardiff's unpleasant owner. Blackburn's and Leeds' jokers? (Mind you I'm happy if Leeds go down the tubes). Buying up Wimbledon and turning them into MK Dons. Real Madrid's original raison d'etre. Just how bent is FIFA in its entirety. Etc etc. (Always worth remembering this is a public forum and m'learned friends can read it). We got lucky with the Pozzos. But put yourself in City's fans' shoes: Decades in the shadow of Utd and suddenly they can out-Utd Utd. They'd have to have hearts of stone not to be excited by that. And, of course, they had no choice but to support or to stop supporting. Arguably football lost its 'authenticity' the first time a club bought a player off another club; or even when the first player started being paid to play a game. There is no rationality to watching football - we just do it, like mountaineers climb mountains because they're there. Sorry to ramble on. Funny old game, football.
I agree with every word, unless m'learned friends are reading, in which case this was an absolutely disgraceful post which I reject in its entirety. But it's still a shame that their fans didn't emulate FCUM and sat up City Reborn As Paupers.
That doesn't count, we got this off a Palace fan all because a Brighton fan came on here and we wished them luck for the season. So please try harder.
This forum is a disgrace , I have just read through 6 pages expecting some more valuable advise on gardening and lawns , what do I get discussion of how many we are going to beat city by (4:2 to us) and a frankly absurd discussion about socks. (Everybody knows you buy ones with little pictures on so you can keep sets together)
