Man City fans on their forum are hoping they treat this game as a training exercise. They want Pep to play the kids, rest their starting 11 completely and hope we win. They have a strong dislike for Villa and their fans. From what I can make out, something to do with Wembley. They want to send Villa down. They are not taking this game seriously at all, and they don’t want any of their players getting injured against a team that will be fighting for every thing. Clearly they haven’t been watching us. Anyway, I hope their players care about this game the same way as their fans.

Thank goodness that won’t be the Man City team. I would be shocked if KDB, Sterling and Laporte all play. No chance. Even Pep said he plans on resting most of the players that played on the weekend and wants to give others in the squad a run out against us and Norwich. I don’t think chalobah will be our only change either. Mullins masterclass.
Whilst I agree about the Man City line-up, i dont see our line-up being much different from that one tbh.

Not to tempt fate, but they are more likely to save themselves against us than against Villa; our match against them is only 6 days before the final, and the last competitive fixture. For fitness purposes alone, Arteta is likely to want to play a normal game against Villa, before giving some of his stars the opportunity for some rest and reduced chance of injury on the final day of the season.
