Can someone clarify for me if the home section of the Vic Rd Stand is classed as 'neutral' or 'home supporters only'. Because this evening there were about 1000 Arsenal fans in there I would estimate, all singing their songs, jumping up and down to celebrate and generally waving Arsenal scarves and wearing Arsenal hats and shirts.

Now I'm all for a good atmosphere and a family friendly attitude by the club, and I also accept they can't filter out all Arsenal fans. But to allow those in wearing Arsenal regalia is a step too far. The stewards just stood watching, ignoring all incidents. To make it worse WFC invited along 4 youth football teams to sit at the front of the Vic - and they were pretty much all Arsenal fans!

Surely it's counter-productive to have all these opposition fans in home areas? I can cope with the odd kid who doesn't know better but a load of smug Gooners is really not who I want to sit with. And the fact it's technically a derby match makes the whole thing so much worse.

I thought half was away fans and the other half was home fans?

tbh though at liverpool I had a liverpool fan next to me and an everton fan behind me so I think our membership scheme sucks!!

Sorry to many beers, the home end should be all home fans, I thought? BUT, having been to away games etc this season I think there are a lot of supporters on our database that aren't watford fans, that is why in the 'home' end we get away fans.

Stewards made no attempt to get the group out behind the goal and it was exactly the same against Man U and West Ham!
I hate the Vic end now, I used to have good (and bad!) memories there, but the lack of atmosphere is really getting to me. The stand seemed dead when the players came onto the pitch, and imo, the club (aidy?) need to admit they were wrong, and bring some form of tune back, Z cars, something else, whatever.

The group behind the goal were the invited youth football kids! Disgrace that they were basically all Arsenal. There were plenty more older Arsenal fans around the stand as well. When Van Persie scored more stood up to celebrate than when Smith did.

The pre-match lack of atmosphere is shocking! How is playing Z Cars 10 minutes before kick off and then nothing else until that shocker of a Premiership tune supposed to get the crowd going??

Call me old fashioned but I preferred how it used to be for the pre-match music.

I didn't realise they were invited! Even worse!
Guess it was to be expected, maybe in time the younger fans will change their support!

As for the atmoshpere, i'd play Yellow, that weird mix they play, Z cars, then what ever tune that was played when the players lined up.

the atnousphere in the rookery 1st half was good.
but it would be harder there as you are not likely to sing if no one near you is, and being right next to the away support it'll be difficult

Most of them were children, their parents get them tickets to go to a football match for christmas presents, so the children dont understand that they shouldn't of cheered when ARSEnal scored. But who cares, we shouldn't of let them cheer in the first place.

Surely they could have sold all the tickets and given the kids tickets for Wigan or something instead? I had to buy 2 extra tickets for this and they were right at the back in the corner. It made me sick when Arsenal scored and I saw hundreds of Arsenal fans in the good 'home' seats jumping up and down waving their flags.

I’m only mildly irritated at the kids that got in, it’s the adults, and the way they celebrated when Arsenal scored, (particularly the second goal) that I have a problem with. I felt sick enough that we conceded so late and the last thing I wanted to see was group of irresponsible adults jeering at Watford fans, who were sitting in the correct end!

My mum and sister for once sat in the Vccy Road End and they said there were loads of Arsenal fans whose ages varied so some Watford fans must have got them tickets!?
