Interesting regarding his stint with the Youth Team. I’m not very clued about our Academy, so out of curiosity, what exactly deems his record poor? Were the academy losing a lot of matches / performing poorly in their relative league? Or is his poor performance down to the lack of quality players making progressing through the system? Would have thought (especially with our owners temperament) that he wouldn’t have lasted 6 years in that position if he wasn’t successful.
The tactic of playing it safe for a point away from home to **** teams often resulted in exactly that, a point, but against Brum we somehow got the win even though we didn't have a shot of any kind for 3 whole quarters of the game lol. I did quite like him, and he was hamstrung by missing key players, but I do wonder if he ever had a chance with his personality, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't just Deeney who took a dislike to him
