    While we are at it scrap the Lords and all the silly pointless awards like the MBE, Dane etc, etc that people get into a tizz over.

    I'm sure Charlie didn't have to worry about getting in treated in time. There's nothing special in their DNA that qualifies them for special treatment and the attendant bowing and scraping.

    It's a pointless anachronism. Oaths should be sworn to serve the people not someone who is there by virtue of historical accident.
